new to this forum, but have been tuning and restoring old vespas and lambrettas for the last 30 years, gave it all up about 3 years ago cos the missus said it was time to grow up............................until a mate offered me a lifan jet for £30 and i got the bug back......anyway its been stripped rust proofed, BBK on, new rollers and springs, body work is next, a few cracks in the panels, but nothing a bit of fiberglass wont sort out, from what i have seen this is a very informative forum, and to be honest, this is my first venture into 4 stroke, (yes i took the oil plug off and everything shot out thanks for the guide btw)....this is my second auto project though, the first one was an italjet velocfero, which although a 2 stroke would pull 55mph with a 72 kit on, had lots of other goodies on it too.... |
