I have this engine, new doppler full circle crank, new hoca bbk and zxr pipe. I had this bike running for a while until I decide to put my 90 in other jog and clean it up. now for this one, becasue my kids and friends have to ride with me. I have rode it with a 70 in it. It was ok, so my options are get a better cylinder and sell this one (maybe 10 miles on cylinder $150 but not what im looking for) and would need a new pipe because the zxr isnt gonna put out of what im looking for. I figure 8-9 hundred for watercooled cylinder and new pipe. Or just sell it all an build another 90 that is stout, would be cheaper but not as easy. Likely more dependable. Maybe just build ut to same specs as my other 90 except a bit more attention to details.

Unless you have to 60-70MPH all the time on the 90 and drag race at every stop, I'd think the 70cc could be good enough for something for other people to ride on when you're on the 90. I know, that's a silly thing to say because we gotta go fast, but that would definitely be the cheap way to go about it. You could probably spend a bit more on a pipe, like a Yasuni C16, and maybe a little port/case work, and get more from the current setup. You're probably going to need the better pipe with any cylinder you use to get a lot more from it. There are specs on a C16 and some pipe building info HERE, since you've mentioned metal fabrication in the past. Another option may be something like the Stage6 MKII cylinder like 2TDave uses. Check out his build thread for his Strada, it hauls.

Thanks for the info. That is a good option, keep current cylinder adjust timings and get better pipe. Building a pipe is also a option. I HATE pipes that bolt directly to cylinder. I want on that has a flange and springs.like dirt bike or atv. I know some Hi end pipes are made this way. I have the tools and craftsmanship to build a pipe, have done before hard part for me is correct lenght and diameter! Would be easier for me to spend 400 on a yasuni vs the time it would take to do it right. I will ride this scooter at times also so it has to run! I have 600$ in my 90 engine..that is for case and all

My other bike is with a polaris case. It was fairly inexpensive in comparison to some big kits. Im happy with it, for now Thing is, imo you get more bang for buck buying a polaris case. All I added was carb, crank, and used stock top end. Oh and a pipe that was $150. My opinion is make sure u get a case with the gears because they are different than yamaha gears and I think different than clone gears also. The bearing that hold the axle shaft is larger. 90gtvert has pics in the tech section I beleive.

Another option for a bolt on 90cc is an Adly Minarelli from a Bombardier or CanAm ATV. They're stock 90cc like the Polaris but longer so it can accept a 12" wheel. They use a long belt and shortcase gears.

I stretched my bike a bit and didnt think my stock cable was going tobe long enough. I looked around for a longer one bit didnt find one, luckily mine was barely long enough. Had to remake bracket because when I would hit bumps it would lock up rear wheel!

The adly cases i have are matched perfect. Stamped ja if i remember correctly. Had a set of 49cc longcase clone cases with the ja stamp that were matched perfect also

I think scrappy has long and shortcase 90 motors new at the moment. The shortcase was like 340 or so complete
