Hey guys just wanted to say hi. Just got given a 90 Yamaha Jog that already has a Polini bbk with a polini intake and a Dellorto PHBG 21mm carb. My brother got it about 5 years a go and wasn't able to get it running so he put it in my dads shed. My dad told him to get it out so he asked if I wanted it, so I said heck yeah and he dropped it off with title. Just gotta get it running now.

Sweet! You've come to the right place! Sounds like you have some carb cleaning and maybe fuel tank cleaning in your future.
Welcome!

Drain the fuel tank and fill it up with vinegar let that set a few days. Drain the vinegar out and rinse the tank with water and a box of baking soda. The baking soda is a must or the tank will flash rust on you! A couple of cans of carb cleaner for the carby will clean that right up! I just had to do this with my 06 SunL that sat for about 9 years.

Thanks guys! Actually the tank looked brand new. I thought for sure it was gonna be nasty but it's perfectly clean, esp for sitting for 5 years with nothing in it. The carb I pulled off and ran it for about an hour in an ultrasonic cleaner then blew all the passenges out with my compressor. I have to pull the bowl back off cause I didn't really look at the jets. I want to say the main jet was a 72 or something like that. I had it running yesterday but it just bogged at anything over half throttle.

I know. I'm gonna rip it back apart and see what it really is as well as the other jets. That's probably why my brother couldn't ever get it running. He said it would run fine until he hit 3/4-full throttle then die on him.

I'm going to. Just have to order them. Don't know of anywhere locally that sells them.

Just pulled the carb apart and it has a 72 MJ and a 50 pilot. The only number I can get off of the primer jet is a 09. Any one know where in the orlando area I can get jets for this carb?
