Haven't really done much to the scoot since I'm still waiting for the parts to get here from Canada, except cleaning it up and painted the plastics. I still have to clear the blue, wet sand, and polish. Here are some pics of the scoot with the flat black and blue plastics as it sits tonight. I also re-arranged the garage to fit my new sand blast cabinet, powder coat, spray booth and the oven I'm in the middle of building to cure the powder coat. The oven is going to the right of the "spray booth" aka the cardboard box the sand blast cabinet came in. The oven is going to be a converted two drawer filing cabinet. It will be big enough to hold almost anything that I want to powder coat other than a scoot/motorcycle frames. The first thing I powder coated for the scoot was the brake levers since that's all the toaster oven I have will fit.

Thanks guys! I got the doors mounted and plugged the grill in. With no insulation it got up to 200 degrees in about 10 min.
I wish I could take credit for the oven idea but after searching for a diy powder coat oven I found a guy who converted a 4 or 5 drawer filing cabinet with 2,000 watts of worth of space heaters mounted on the side of it. So I figure my 1,650 watts should work fine for the 2 drawer.
Plus it was CHEAP!! I think I have $25 in it so far and will probably have another $30-$40 in it when I'm done. Just need insulation and a temperature controller

Coming along good man, cant wait to see it finished! I tried to re-upholster my seat but figured by the time I got the fabric and a staple gun I could have someone do it better. I have a pretty heavy duty staple gun but it wouldn't put them in the plastic. You need a pneumatic one I think. Are you going to powder coat for $$? Where are you located?

Thanks. I appreciate it. I already had the fabric so I figured I'd give it a shot. I do need to get a pneumatic staple gun though. The heavy duty hand held one I have isn't strong enough. I can't wait to get it finished. I shot some clear on a few things last night.
I haven't really thought about doing powder on the side but I'm sure I will. I'm just outside of orlando, FL

Primary's, nope. Secondary's I have never checked. After 4 tries I gave up buying and returning becuase it was a hassle. The closest I got was Vento Zip50 gears, the input shaft was ok but the intermediate gear did not fit. I got to the end of my patience with it. So I just call mid 50's good for now and will play with more gears and mix n match or whatever later down the road when I have a little bit more money to spend.

Wonder if jog gears from a 1992 jog would fit? I have the measurements for them some place..dont know the ratio but I did 53 mph with a pipe 70 (cheap kit) at 10k rpm.
