My rear shock is rubbing my back tire after I take my scooter of the main stand. It looks fine on the stand with plenty of clearance, but once I take it off the stand, it is either touching the tire or close to it.
I clearly can see a ring on the tire from the rubbing. I tried twisting the shock spring to where the gaps wouldn't touch the tire, but after a few bumps on the road it won't work that way.
I tightened my motor mounts tight, but maybe it's off center or something. My shock is tight. I wonder if I have a bent frame or something.
I've never had this problem before, until I put the engine back on recently. Any replies appreciated. Thx.

Stupid question. Did you put the shock on the correct side of the bracket? Even stupider question. Did you put the shock on upside down?

Stupid question. Did you put the shock on the correct side of the bracket? Even stupider question. Did you put the shock on upside down? I unhinged the shock at the bottom only. The mating part of the lower part of the rear shock, slides over the mounting piece of the engine. Although there is a thin piece of metal that slides in between the lower left side of the shock/engine where the bolt slides through, and that hooks onto the rear tire guard. Maybe I should try hooking that back on and see if that helps. I left it off because my rear tire guard is junk. Thx for the replies and link guys! I have my body and head off the scoot looking at some other things, so now would be a good time to look since it's easier to see.

How long do the bushings usually last. I mean, I ride it quite a bit.
I've had the same bushings for... about 3 years and have about..25 kilometers. Just curious, and thx.

Ok I found the problem--- I was looking in the wrong spots.
I'm not sure what went wrong here yet, because I've never taken this bolt out, nor do I know what broke on the inside.
I'll post a pic/video in a second.

Hey thanks!
Maybe they can find one even if they don't carry them.
Hopefully I'll have it all done within a week. It might be awhile. lol.

I just took that mount off a few minutes ago, I was at work all day--thx for the reply, again. I might as well replace both, if I can find them. I emailed partsforchinese at their site, but not sure if it went through. They have those "on site email" contact(little popups), and it flashed something all "technical" but who knows. I asked them if they were already installed, and/or if they have them period. I did take note that the big fat one that you mentioned earlier, is not in the picture, so I would assume the others aren't. They do have another contact email--- a real email I mean, that I'm about to try. (EDIT: I just emailed Scrappy and PFS, too) These bushings are about the same size as the motor mount bushings, except they are about at least twice as long. I haven't measured them--- I could try the length/width and diameter while they are still in the mount. Kinda iffy, but I don't think I have a pipe/tube long enough on hand(this late at night) to try. I guess I can find a long skinny metal pipe, feed it through one of the bushings, and knock them out gradually with a mini-sledge hammer. They seem almost soft-like, not sure if they are that way when new though---if they are, then it might suck getting them back in, I'll just take it easy on them. EDIT: When I find out the true size of these, and if they are the exact same diameter as the regular motor mounts, I may give them a try anyway---if I can't find them. I'll shove 2 on each side if I have to..lol EDIT: I may try this place too, not sure: www.tankscooterpartswholesale.com/chassis-frame-bushings-c-337_440.html

Here's my situation. This is my engine mount/hanger: Note where both pics are circled--the part that is supposed to slide onto the outside of the motor mounts. Here is the only style I can find online anywhere: I don't think it's do-able without some modification--- and that's beyond my skills/tools anyway. I can get one used already with the bushings, which I probably will, but for future reference if I ever need one, not sure where to get it. As of now, it's almost like I have to get the bushings if ever needed again, until I find out. I'm still searching, I'll find it. However, partsforchinese emailed me back and said they have the bushings---no other parts place has it or has told me they can get them. Hard to tell without looking at them, I have a hard time trusting people like that..lol. I measured the width: and it's 36mm wide, 30mm outer dia, 10mm inner dia. So that's what I have to work with. Emailing them back to make sure, since the piece IS different, just to make sure.
