What could be causing an extended hesitation on takeoff? The hesitation is similar to the effect of stiffer clutch springs but not as jumpy. Runs normal after getting up to around 10 mph and over. Seems to be most noticeable on first takeoff after scooter has been sitting.

Only saying from my own experience. But mine would hesitate when sitting for any amount of time. Turned out to be the vacuum on my petcock was bad and was dumping gas into the engine. Replaced my petcock and it ran perfect. So my tip would be to run the engine, and while its running, pull off the vacuum line and see if it has fuel in it. if it does. BINGO. There ya go. I was trying to trouble shoot mine for months before finding out all my issues were from the petcock Hope to help save you the time.
