This has me stumped. At around 60 i'm getting a vibration sound just like a tire out of balance or alignment. What's strange is that i can't feel it. The ride is smooth.
Had the front tire balanced today but that didn't fix it.
So what could it be? Could it be in the CVT?

does it happen on or off the throttle?

No affected from throttle. Just actual speed.

sounds like a problem i had with a belt that was a little bit to small. may not be the problem but sounds like the same symptoms.

Agreed. It's probably just the belt vibrating.

Re-tighten your exhaust shield?

Had them balance the rear wheel and that helped a lot.
I guess the Pilot tires are quite a bit heavier than stock and with the 14 inch wheels balancing is a must. I thought they had done it the first time but i guess they don't normally balance scoot tires.
Thanks for the advice guys.

Update - the vibration continued after the tire balancing "fix". Noticeable as soon as i got back on a fast run. I isolate it to the motor by putting the scoot on the stand and revving the motor. The back wheel started hopping like a rabbit. It kind of freaked me out so i forgot to shoot any video. Finally got some time yesterday to go back out to the shop and we started down the rest of the possible list. First thing was checking the rollers and switching to sliders. Found some small flat spots but nothing big so i didn't expect that to be the cause. But it was! Wooo hooo! Ran the scoot at 62 (indicated) for about 20 min and the vibration is gone! Slider report - Quicker take off and no loss of top end. It's a miracle drug. Especially for me with the added "bunny hop" cure. So one more for the trouble shooting database. If you have a rhythmic vibration at a rate of around 2ps. (two per second) it may be bad rollers.

I had those symptoms this past summer...put a new belt on and it was eliminated though it felt tire related. All good and I swear by Dr pulley sliders, builditright converted me...

Yes guys. A wise old man told me when I got my first scoot.. He told me to go to this new product called Dr. Pulley SLiders. He said I have no idea how the heck they work but they do.. When I changed to a 6gr slider I gained low end and top end it was fantastic..
So when I had someone come to me and say how can I get better peerformance I would tell them let me put in a set of sliders and if you do not come back with a smile I will put your scoot back to the way it was... I have not had to put any of them back yet.. I just think they work and work well.. A lot of people still do not like them they will not use them but I like them and have had real good luck with them.,
