My trailtech didn't come with a water temp adaptor can I bought one switch it out with the spark plug adaptor? Or Is the plug reading more accurate? And I had to buy an extension for the cht as it was about 2ft long

Oh and everything sealed up I did a leak down test last night and it passes!! I didn't check my durations because I don't have a degree wheel and the one I made my son decided to ruin it lol, I'd say it should be fairly close to whatever its apposed to be set at on account of me setting the squish by the book anyhow I have faith it will run great.heck I'm scared to start it because it's so pirdy lol the pipe is going to do all the work, man that thing is huge

I think you can hook up a different temp sensor with those, but I'm not sure. I'd ask their customer support before spending the cash. They usually reply pretty quick.
As far as accuracy, it depends what you want to measure. If you want CHT then just stick with the under plug thermocouple. If you want to read water temp, get the other.

CHT is more something to see seizures or overheating coming before it's too late. Nice to use when tuning the carb. But it doesn't tell you anything about the cooling system and you can't use it to read or set operating temps.
Watertemp is nice to measure overall temps in the cylinder and head. If there's something with the coolingsystem, a clogged up or too small radiator, you'll see it in the readings. You won't see a seizure coming with water temps.
You need both actually
