www.dellortodirect.comI've ordered from this site a couple of times now. Takes about 1 week for me to get my orders with their standard "Best Way" option. Prices are OK and they carry some stuff that's hard to find elsewhere. My only real complaint is high shipping cost on small items. Here are the 3 carburetor needles I ordered that arrived today and the box they were shipped in. :jaw: No wonder you have to pay $10 to ship these things. Coulda stuck 'em in an envelope with some padding via USPS first class for a couple bucks... AND they would have arrived faster most likely.

The UK version (http://www.dellorto.co.uk) does ship needles in a jiffy, as you would expect. Shipping is a flat rate of £2.95, delivery usually next day.

I believe Delorto Direct (in the US) is an affiliated company with 1977 Mopeds: www.1977mopeds.com/Who is an "up market" dealer of moped stuff. Slower than Treats (could have been a busy time, they did have what Treats was out of) and a little bit more expensive, I was satisfied (as a customer).

I ordered a choke assembly from them on 3-22 and as of 3-30 I haven't even received anything about it shipping or any response to my emails. I'm not the least bit impressed with dellorto direct aka 1977 moped. Its pretty sad when shipping cost more than the part.

Yeah, my experiences with Dellorto Direct are just as bad. Initially, when I was looking to buy my PHVA, I emailed them and asked if they had a model in left hand screws and can I get a manual choke for them. They replied and said, no there is no left hand screw model for PHVA, and they are only auto choke possible for that model. SO, after I bought my left hand screw (TS) PHVA from Racing Planet Germany and attached the manual choke with a kit I bought from them also (both for cheaper than DD), I needed some idle jets. I thought I'd give them another go, cos Racing Planet Germany don't sell PHVA idle jets. I'm in Australia and it was flat rate $25 international shipping. FARK! I thought, for idle jets? So, anyway, I was a bit desperate and I knew they had em, so I ordered a few jet sizes and a spare circlip to make it a bit worth my $. I ordered them on a Monday, which is before Monday morn their time. So by Friday when I noticed my order still had not been marked as "shipped", I contacted them to see why. Got no email reply but my order suddenly got marked as "shipped". I emailed again asking for an explanation, and they said there was a public holiday mid week which slowed them down. OK, so one public holiday slowed my shipment of jets down to over 4 days handling time? I let that one slide. Being in Oz I order quite a lot of stuff from overseas, and know how long things usually take, so after about 2 weeks from the date of actual shipping I still had not received my jets (this is $25 to ship jets, mind you) and my email to check that they had been posted to right place, and on what date, using what shipping method, received no reply at all. My subsequent, slightly more agitated email, none either. FINALLY, 3 weeks after the actual postage (coming up to 4 weeks since I ordered) I get a massive thick cardboard envelope in the mail with 5 jets and a circlip in it. Well, at least they took measures to prevent my jets from getting damaged in the post....what? So what does $25 shipping for jets get you? Not fast delivery, that's for sure. A day later I wanted another couple idle jets (yes this thing is idling so rich still). So I went to the UK Dellorto site. Ordered 2, cost about $9 shipping, got here in a day or so over a week since the order date, in a decently sized padded envelope. That's the way it should be done. www.dellorto.co.uk/JM

Ordered 5 jets on 7/9 as of today 7/15 i haven't received any shipping info or a reply to my multiple e-mail inquiries. Their website doesnt state notify buyers whether or not the parts are in stock or not so theres no telling if their coming from Italy or not.
