NOOOOOO!!! I might be a Mustang guy, but I used to love my 97 Firebird (fellow F-Body). Great, fun, cars. It was even the best color. Sorry to see it Jim. I hope she can get a new ride that's just as cool. You know there are a lot of Mustangs at the dealership out my way. 305HP, 31MPG V6s! The 3.8 Series II in your wifes was 200HP/225TQ if it was stock. Luckily all we had here were some branches and such down and leaves stuck to everything.

Ouch, sorry for the loss but glad it was not the roof of your house. THAT will really sit you up in bed at night!

Yes it does, I have shingles in my yard from the wind storm we had, and I'm hoping it's all from the garage with the collapsed roof. Can't fix the roof till next spring :scared: Darn wind wouldn't take down the garage walls for me though and save me some work :banghead:
I had a Camaro many years ago, it was orange ;D

The branch was from a Pin Oak, 42" circumference, estimated weight of 1 1/2 ton. It speared the roof of the car right in the T-Top and bounced off. You wouldn't believe how incompetent the auto and homeowners insurance companies are acting over this...as though they can't comprehend English. It's definitely totaled and she'll be lucky if she sees 4500 bucks. Oh well, nothing lasts forever.

Nice to get a pleasant surprise for a change. That's not bad at all for a '97.

Well, it's better than we first anticipated...it won't pay for a new car so we're going to save some money and get her a new car, something with 4 cylinders, and good gas mileage.

Good idea! My mother just bought a Subaru. She loves it! Went from a 99 Caddy, and as far as im concerned she upgraded BIG time!

You can't go wrong with a used Toyota or Scion. They run forever.
