;D
This is pretty basic, but it does remind me that I need an injected 2 stroke. Sorry, it's about boat motors, but it's the same principle.

I'm never gonna be truly fullfilled until I finally get an Aprilia SR 50 Factory Ditech. To me that is the Holy Grail of 2 Stroke 50cc scooters. Although that might not be true if we were able to buy some of the scooters that are available in Europe. That L/C Yamaha Aerox is pretty sweet. I've always wondered why they don't sell the Aerox over here? I know their has to be a market for it. 2009 Aerox 2 stroke # 2009 Derbi GP1 50 2 stroke

The Aprilia is a dream scoot to me too, but we do really need the 100cc Aerox over here.

The Aprilia is a sweet ass ride, smooth, comfy, and runs good with decent power. I dont think they are worth the money though. A friend of mine has one thats been "gameboy" tuned and is otherwise stock. Ive riden it and dont get me wrong they are a very good platform, but i asked myself if i could justify buying one for me. Myself said "hell no, could you imagine the scooter you could build for over 3g?". I agreed with myself lol. The friend that owns it also races BMX and is a good rider so we got into a bit of a cornering battle when we rode together. He was very fast through the turns on the Aprilia but i was right on him, then powered right around him with a few turns left..It was too fun for the street and we agreed that we shouldnt ride together if we couldnt help but race lol. I havent rode with him since. I would love to have one and build the heck out of it. I could see paying 2grand for a new one. I think its cooler taking a $500 pos china scooter and blowing the mirrors off a Ferrari scooter A 100cc yami Aerox, yes, yes!

I definately agree that they cost too much. You'd figure it would last a long time if you took care of it and they hold their value good. If your into scooter mods their not the way to go though.

The attraction to Aprilia to me is direct injection (DiTech). There are performance parts made for them and a 70cc DiTech should be more fuel efficient than a 70cc carbureted engine. Plus, it's just something I haven't got to mess with yet so I'd like to see what it's all about.
