A friend was over and I showed him my new GoPro HD camera. He's been interested in something like that himself, but probably wouldn't go trough cutting and uploading so he never got one. Well, since he was on his CBR600RR, it seemed like the perfect time to test the cam at a little higher speeds. ;D I used the suction cup mount. Got it a little crooked, but it turned out OK and the cam returned with the bike so that's always good. lol He said he was taking it easy because he was afraid the cam would fall off. The sound turned out pretty well with the cam mounted maybe 8" from the engine.

Nice!
Did you work on covering the mic? Sounded good.
You might see if there is a spot for a "safety tether". I use them on my cams and have saved them several times. Some of the places i mount them are easy to kick at stop lights etc.

I think the tether is a great idea. Would certainly ease my mind a bit when using the suction cup for sure.
I did nothing different with the camera. It's in the waterproof housing, completely closed off. I think I was right before. The scooter just isn't loud enough to work well with the wind noise. Maybe if I mounted it by the pipe, I dunno. That 600cc is definitely a lot louder than my 99cc. lol Even tachin a bit in 6th gear the wind doesn't sound as prominent as it does with me at 50.
