Heh! Yeah I didn't think of that but you're right. We thought about one of those toilet seats that's thick but they look dorky and they aren't comfortable. This way we still have the original seat and more height.

Good stuff Dave. :thumb: We added a tall toilet with our new bathroom. It didn't seem any different, but when I sit on the old toilet in the other bathroom it feels abnormally low now. lol Wish we knew about those risers then. Might have been nice for granny, and my father has had a knee replacement.

That must have an extention to the drain pipe? Do the screws then connect to the toilavator or are they longer?

It does have an extension pipe and it does come with long screws. So long in fact I had to cut off 1/2 inch after installation so the caps would go on. It came with some sort of high density foam seals but I used old school beeswax seals on it.

It is looking very good Fox! Give yourself a good pat on the back from me will ya? THATS something to be proud of! A toilet lift???!!! Thats sweet for the "normal" sized Americans lol. Cool, very cool! I used to do remodels and light construction with my stepfather and never have seen one of those. Good find!

Thanks for all the compliments guys! I have always been handy but this is the most involved project I have ever undertaken by myself. Thank god for the internet/Google or I would have never known the proper way to do the tile or found a cheap electrician. The toilet lift was an after thought that I stumbled upon after my girl asked me if there was a way to make the toilet higher. Googled "toilet lift" and there it was.
Caveman voice: Internet good!

Somewhere around $4,000 to $4,500 give or take. I haven't gone through the receipts yet and I have a bunch of stuff to return that I didn't need. It sounds like a lot for a 5x7 room but I had a contractor quote me $10,000 so I saved a bundle.

I'm re-thinking the cabinet above the toilet and the choice of baseboard on the floor. Input anybody?

The only thing I see taht looks odd, and this is scrutinizing only because you made me go back and look carefully, is that the design of the cabinet above the toilet and the one in the corner are so much different. The corner one has essentially no design, it's just a plain, modern looking, cabinet. The other has trim work, carved in pattersm mirrors, handles, etc... You can always use more storage space though so I'd keep it or some form of cabinet there. Maybe you can add a similar handle/knob to the corner cabinet or some trim on the bottom to match them up more?
I like the trim. Our house has this 2-3" tall trim everywhere so I like seeing the sleek smaller baseboard.
