I chopped mine up & made an engine removal stand/ cradle (holds scoot for engine removal) . That thin square tube is tricky to weld!

Just bolted the bottom back on, flipped it on its side and screwed a 24"x70" piece of plywoon I had laying around to the top (side). Scoot sits on it real nice and it is at a good height to work on. Standing the frame upright would have put the bike too high. No straps or tie down but I feel pretty secure with it just sitting on its stand. It would need a hard hit to knock it over.

Thanks! You have been a huge help to me so far. Just got a 50cc Thunder for my son and am going through it using your PDI videos. Keeping it mostly stock but I am unsealing the carb and changing the fuel line and spark plug/boot. Sealing the electrical connections, changing fluids and adding the magnetic drain plugs...Oh, and valve stems...

I use a lawn mower jack to lift my scooter to work on it. The mower jack holds the scoot real steady if you get the scoot balanced right.
