Perhaps I should have made my subject to read "NASCAR Soon To Be In Twisty Riders' Back Yard".
It wouldn't be quite as close to me (SW Ark) as Dallas/Ft. Worth but the setting and drive there would be much more pleasurable.

Always good to see new tracks. Wish they'd do another road course. ;D I think local businesses like restaurants and hotels should be thrilled. When there's a race in Dover it affects every hotel on Rt 13 withhin many miles in a very positive way. I went out to Seaford, DE on the last race weekend. That's about 40 miles from The Monster Mile. Restaurants and hotels were very noticeably busier than normal. One hotel there that sees very little business (often only a few cars in the lot on a weekend that time of year) had a full lot.

Well it is a perfect fit for Branson, but of course i'm with Brent why can't they build a road course? Would have so many more uses and it's not like it is hard to find land down there.
Even though circle tracks are a little dull for my taste I think it would be a great thing. And of course could lead to other racing.
stepthrutuner - So right about the drive. From Ark over would be beautiful. Any time you want to come the Twisty Riders will by lunch at the Crab Shack on Branson Landing. We'll probably even go to the race with you.
If you want to go see the Mell Tillis show...you're on your own. ;D

Thanks for the cordial invite, sir. I had a nice reply all ready and when I tried to post it I got a server error and lost it. I prefer road racing too, of course. You're lucky to have such a major track nearby soon, though. Maybe a lot of open wheelers will race there which should be exciting. I took my honeymoon in Branson many a moon ago.

Good point on the open wheel thing. I forgot that IndyCar does some circle tracks. I'd be all over that. Serious about the Branson offer. Come hang with the Twisty Riders.

Hey Step, just got a member signed on in Harrison looking for riders. Looks like Twisty Riders might be starting an Arkansas branch!
U In? Or know of any clubs he could join up with?
