2 Brothers Racing REPORT: Part 1 Let's start with... look at this bad boy!!! We put the pipe on and ran it for 30 min or so. Did a plug check which looked good xo we left it there. I'm gonna run the pipe for a bit and then we will look at free flow filter and up jet. Also the S8 seems to have a very restricted cdi so we'll probably try something that will let it rev a bit. Speed results - On the two hills that i use for test runs i hit my speed checks 4mph faster 3 out of 4 times. One time 3mph faster. (Indicated). Not 2T type improvement but i knew that going in. I have not had a chance to do a run on the road i use for flat speed check but my sense from the rest of my 20 mile ride is that my top end is maybe 1 mph faster. So i'm "quicker" and pulling harder but not much "faster". Sound results, and conclusion. You'll just have to wait for the movie! ;D

Nice. Very significant performance gain. How easy to put on? Did you chop and look at plug after full throttle run?

Very easy to install. It's a well laid out kit with high quality bits. The pipe is designed to be easily opened up for repacking. Which it recommends checking every 3K miles. If you burn off too much packing you can start to damage the carbon fiber.

2 Brothers Racing REPORT: Part 2
The sound is a good bit louder but not in the illegal range by any means. It is great to be able to "growl" in traffic when i need to get someones attention. Generally i think people close to me are much more likely to be aware that i am coming. And have a better sense of my speed.
The added punch on the low end is also a big + for me. I feel a lot more passing ability in the 40 mph zone.
But you can judge for your self. ;D
Conclusion- Great looks, Easy to install, Rockin' sound and some gutsy low end performance gain. Well worth the price of admission.

That is truly a great job on the video Tim. You need to sell that sucker to TwoBros as an ad, I think it would be effective. Sounds much better now and it looks like the Kymco's got a lot of get up and go. Also, the video shows us that conservative CDI you spoke of.

Very good! I wasnt expecting DB,s and all. Im tellin ya, you could sell thos vids for an advert. Or donate em for a parts discount lol. That is a very nice exhaust man! I like it, and im not to found of the fours at all. Yes, get a CDI, and move that limiter up a 1,000RPM or so at least. Thanks for sharing Tim, great work man!!!! lol, i thought you were gonna do a burnout for a second there.

Thanks guys glad you dug it.
Great news!!!!
It's gonna be 50+ degrees tomorrow. You know what that means!!!! Another "2 Brothers Ride" this time with a "Two Brothers Pipe"!
I'm having way too much fun!
And Robert, i was gonna do a burn, but then i remembered my brand new $80 skins and wimped out. Would have been a great finish shot tho...

Brent - Thanks for confirming my CDI suspicions. Good to know it is not just me.
I'm looking for a mappable CDI controllable on the fly from my iPhone which will be mounted on the console. I'll have it loaded with pre-sets for straightway, corner entry and corner exit. On really extreme rides i"ll have Vince follow in a chase car with a bluetooth laptop so he and my engineer can control more precisely. KymcoGP baby!!!
or
A CDI with a higher rev-limit...which ever i find first...

lol Well, I hope you find the first CDI option cause I'd love to see it. ;D
Don't feel too wimpy about not doing a burnout. I've got to be the same way lately. I just don't have the budget to ruin my tires and mine are only $35-50 each depending which scoot. Yer money is better spent toward that dream CDI and an engineer's salary. lol

Did a 80 mile ride today performance testing the pipe. Vince and i rode twisties, hills and flats. It seems i was a little conservative on my first impression.
Background - Vince rides the yellow / blue S8 that is in the recent videos with me. Same year and setup (Pilot skins) as mine. He is about 40 lbs lighter and a good bit shorter than me so he is always "faster". He can drop me slowly in the hills and quicker on the flats.
Until i "hit the pipe" baby!
Now all day long i can drop him. Interestingly i catch him much quicker in the hills. Improvement in the flats is not as dramatic. So i have made up for the past difference and then gained some on top of that.
Passing speed on the hills is very close to the difference between a stock 2T and a 70 2T. (you know i've passed some stock 2Ts in my day) ;D
I am from the "show me" state so NOW i AM impressed!

Money well spent.
...So how long before Vince gets one and passes you again? ;D I'm sure that sound would be even better in stereo. :scoot: :scoot:
