They sound awesome...it can't weigh much at all if it's lighter than the Zuma. I always thought the Honda and Yamaha brands were top of the line other than the Vespa till I started this thread lol

I would get another DongFang Reverse Trike like the one I have. Then I could keep one running while I modified the hell out of the other one. I have a whole list of things to do to my scoot but I can't take the chance on being without transportation.

I would get a Genuine Scooter Company scooter. I forget which model, but it's a 2t, made in Taiwan, Not China! I've read reviews from people that have 50,000 miles or more without any major engine work. Cost is about $2,000. there's the buddy 50 which I have, roughhouse 50 and the Stella 150 4speed which is 4 stroke now the old stellas are 2T. the older genuine scoots are the Rattler 50 and 110 2t and the blackcat 50 the Rattler and black cat are pretty much the same as the roughhouse just with a different name. The rattler 110 it's not in production anymore because of emissions regulation.

The Genuine Scooter Co. must have it figured out if they can survive 50,000 miles and not have any major problems. That's a lot of miles for any bike let alone a 50 cc

I prefer a 4T. The 2T scoots will probably be illegal to even operate in a few years due to emissions. They are easy for the cops to spot since they lay a trail of smoke behind them.
I just happen to like my 4T scoot design also, with a few improvements.

I have never fooled with a 4t yet so I can't compare them but I would say you are right about emissions
