This is for those new to scooters.
If all of a sudden your magneto operated lights (they only work when the engine is running) get really bright, try your best to turn the scoot off immediately. Circumstances allowing.
Your rectifier / regulator probably went bad and now as much as 45v is reaching your 12v bulbs.
You can keep going, but you'll probably blow out ALL those bulbs in ......3.....2.....1......POOF !!!!!!!
I toasted about $25 worth of bulbs yesterday because of it. But I don't mind the $25 as much as all the work to replace em all.
I keep a spare belt and regulator with me as part of my tool kit emergency roadside tools.
