Hi guys, was looking for some help with my boys CPI GTR 50cc, have just fitted a new second-hand engine, ( by the way I am a scooter novice, no expert) have hooked everything up correctly I think and it started first time. Problem is it's kicking out a lot of whitish smoke, which could be from the fact that the guy who sold it to me said he poured an amount of oil inside the engine whilst it was in storage to prevent corrosion. I also had air within the oil-pump line so had to use pre-mix with which I may have over done it with the oil, the air seems to have cleared but I will have to wait until the tank is empty before I connect the pump up again. The engine runs for a while then slowly comes to a halt, also if I attempt to accelerate it cuts out straight away, then starts again after a short while. Any help would be most appreciated guys. spreader

Sounds like you need to drain the fuel and start over. Too much oil in there will foul the plug and cause excess carbon buildup. Clean the carburetor jets and adjust the mixture screw. There's tutorials in the library. 49ccscoot.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=archive
