so I'm assuming i use the stocker head? a scooter shop near my house is selling a kit with head for 130 not sure of the brand though

You are right, Jer, I inquired as to the brand of parts in the tranny pkg. and the response was that they are HOCA. So the ad is misleading.

For future reference regarding big bore kits...
50mm or less should fit most GY6 50cc engines without case modification. Up to 52mm may fit some GY6 50cc engines. Above 52mm I believe you are guaranteed to have to mod the cases.
Also, the larger the bore, the more stress on the crank (which tends to relate directly to reduced engine life).

I went and bought that kit last night and according to my measurements it's just over 49mm I.D. and just under 53mm O.D. so it's actually an 80cc kit.

hey Fox...you're a mechanic right? where in town is your garage? I want to do all the work myself, but dont have all the tools or know how. can i pay you to let me work on my scoot in your shop? that way i will have the proper tools and knowledge at my disposal? I am trying to be self sufficient when it comes to my scoot. but nobody at any of the shops will take me up on my offer.
