I guess these last two Jogs are a good case study in flipping scoots; I paid $125 for the blue 'Artistic Spec' that needed a bunch of parts and work and then I paid $380 for this one that runs and drives and really only needs some tweaking and cleaning up. I consider this $380 scoot the better buy...

Very nice!! Heres another nice keeper!! The way you find these things for so cheap is amazing to me. Things are just way more pricey here in Cali.

Again up here in Ontario a Jog like that normally goes for around $600-1000.

I haven't looked here in a week but before that there hasn't been anything worth a look for awhile. People wanting 700 for a used 139qmb. I check O town from time to time and find nothing like Niz does over there.

So I just can't leave well enough alone haha. I installed a 70cc BBK from the box of 3 that I bought from ebay. Actually gave me good reason to use the new Hoca piston/rings that I erranously bought from PFS that is 47mm. I actually needed 47.5mm at the time so this piston just sat unused in it's box. Found a home for it now! She's all cleaned up and put together now and looks and runs fantastic! If I get a little extra time I may check the stock gear ratios etc. and make a 'List' submission... I thought the pre-bugs were packed tightly but wow Yamaha you've outdone yourself packing 10lbs. of crap into a 5lb. bag here lol. I had an issue with the petcock leaking fuel and the carb float not at the correct angle causing the carb to overflow and I had to pull the whole dang engine back out just to get to the carb! What a tuners nightmare! Here's some before and after pics!

That cleaned up real nice. Is that just a buff-out or did you sling some paint on it?

That cleaned up real nice. Is that just a buff-out or did you sling some paint on it? No paint slung on this one- that's just a wet sand and buff! Of course I couldn't get the really deep scratches out.....

Okay. I thought maybe you did some strategically placed black or clear on it. Most people who are in the market for a scoot don't really care about little minor scratches. It's the broken plastics and ripped/rotten seats that are deal breakers so it'll sell especially with that BBK on it.

Just spent a solid hour and a half adjusting and fine tuning the all-plastic float ( ) in this carb to get the fuel to flow when it should and stop when it shouldn't. It developed a slow drip from the needle not sealing tightly... I can't stress enough how much I hate these dang all plastic floats in these carbs! I still haven't figured out a good alternative to melting the float arms with a lighter and hoping I dont FUBAR it. If it had the little metal tab it'd be a simple 30 second fix grrr...

We adjust float height by different thickness gaskets under the seat on some OLD school aircraft carbs,,works the treat on other "cojatators" too!
