I have a job doing a carb clean on an 8HP wood chipper tomorrow and was watching a few videos on You-tube to refresh my noggin when I came across this guy that shows how to tweak a plastic float tab with a heat gun. With the fake teeth and wigs it's funny but these guys know their stuff.

Congratulations! Nice Jog! And the work you did on the body, AMAZING! Day and night difference. Well done.
Can you explain more details as how you did it? What were the exact steps? What tools or material did you use?

Congratulations! Nice Jog! And the work you did on the body, AMAZING! Day and night difference. Well done. Can you explain more details as how you did it? What were the exact steps? What tools or material did you use? Hi Tsimi, I plan to make a video showing exactly how to clean up the body panels sometime soon. It's a pretty simple process with just a few tools... I wet sand the clearcoat with 1000 grit sandpaper- wet sanding just means using water while you sand- I use a spray bottle and spray on the water. You can occasionally dry the area you're working on and you'll be able to see whether you've gotten past the scratches or not. Some scratches are deeper and go all the way through the clearcoat into the paint. You'll know when you've sanded through the clearcoat and into the paint because the water will turn from a milky white (that's the clearcoat) to whatever color the paint is (black in this case) I don't worry too much when the water starts turning black because I know I can buff the paint to just as good a shine as I can the clearcoat... After you're satisfied with your sanding now it's time for the fun part! Buffing! I use a foam buffer that fits into a household drill. It came in a headlight restoration kit I bought a while ago. You can even buy the ones that have a handle on them... My favorite buffing compuond to use is the "Blue Magic" Headlight lens restore. Don't let the name fool you- it's not just for headlights- I use it on everything! Now you just squeeze a little compound onto the buffer and go to town. It only takes a tiny bit and you'll immediately see the shine! I finish up by wiping away any excess with a clean rag just as you would when waxing. Voila! It's that easy!

Hey Niz, you should put it in the Gainesville CL. You may get more action and you are not that far away where you could meet someone there. There are so many kids up there looking for scooters it's amazing. That will be especially true in a couple of months (July, August). It's worth a shot!

Wow- Been waiting forever to be able to write this; SOLD!
FINALLY sold the scoot tonight for $700. My lovely beautiful awesome wifey took me to a Jimmy Buffet concert tonight for my birthday and we stopped and ate the ORIGINAL Taco Bus in Tampa! I loaded up the scoot and took it with us and met the buyer at Taco Bus. He took it for a quick spin, handed over the $700 (actually he gave it to me before the test ride haha) and I helped him load into his vehicle. Eazzy Peazzy! I had like three beers at the concert and feeling it. I'm such a lightweight nowadays lol. OMG the tailgating was epic.
Insert yourt best Jimmy Buffet jabs here haha.
