Merry Christmas to you as well, and everyone else celebrating the holiday. I know one little devil that can't wait to get his big stocking full of parts.  ;D I picture.. Thanks... runs out door toward engine with arms full of parts.... yelling back from a distance, "your gift is under the tree." :rofl: |

Yes, Merry Christmas! I hope you all have great times with family and friends. May we all use this opportunity to make sure those important to us know that we love and value them. And, a few scoot toys would be nice too!  |

Thanks! It did take a while but it just goes to show you that I have quite a bit of time on my hands lately. Kind of reminds me of programming in FORTRAN or BASIC.... everything's got to be perfect to get the expected results. I kind of like that though. One of the pluses about programming is that you don't have to chase down parts, tools or resources. It's just logical thinking and organization, your language and the number cruncher (computer) pretty much. Edit: Did ya'll count the scooters? 49 scoots a scootin. Lol. |

It's unbelievable how much computers have changed in 40 years. When I learned FORTRAN back in 1970 the school used an IBM 1130. It had 16k of magnetic core RAM and was about the size of a four foot long chest-type freezer. We punched up our programs on IBM punch cards  using a card punch machine  everybody's programs were batch-processed periodically throughout the day and your program results (printout) wrapped around your punched cards, held with a rubber band could be pilfered out of the 'out' box. If your results were not as expected (which they rarely were) you went back through the program printout and figured out where you erred typing on the card punch machine or in the setup of your algorithm, punched up corrected cards and went for another shot. Many hours could be spent punching, waiting and fixing (debugging). |
