Took a trip to milford , de. To a scooter shop? That will remain nameless located on 730 Mc Colley street. Was told on phone he had scoots i was interested in , went there the one wasn't even thiers! ,& when i asked about the 2t scoots he had he wouldnt talk to me! Then tried to push off some severly abused tao tao's on me. When i told him i didnt want them , was only interested in scoots he spoke of on the phone , i was ignored! again. Showed my roll of cash & my middle finger as i rolled off.

Sorry for your bad experience. Some people shouldn't be in business. Usually they aren't...for long.

I haven't visited a lot of local shops, but it seems like lack of knowledge and/or interest in scoots and overpricing is common around here. I had a local shop offer the most beat Chinese 4T I've seen in person to a friend for $500 and said it's as low as they could go at $450. A sunny style like the TaoTao ATM50. Missing faded and cracked panels, ripped faded and worn through seat, rust, and so on. Looked like it was left on the beach for about 10 years.
So far the nicest and most competent people I've talked to around here were at Continental Cycles in OC, MD. College Scooters in Salisbury, MD has a decent rep, but I've never been there. Continental only had Kymcos and Tomos mopeds around from what I've seen. College Scooters carries Chinese and Taiwan made scoots I believe. Just a couple of ideas if you're shopping around somewhat locally.

Sounds like they are using the old bait and switch method to get customers into the doors.

Years ago I worked at a used car lot that practiced that method and it didn't sit well with MY Sense of right and wrong. They employed two guys who would "compete" on bids for cars to drive up the price or get the price they want customers to pay A few months after they had fired me(said business was slow and they couldn't afford two lot guys) they were brought up on fraud charges and unfair business practices buy the Ontario Government. Gee I wounder who brought it to the Ministries attention of what they were doing?
