Hi I was given a jonway or redstreak yy50qt-6 Eco 50 it is yellow and black and hasn't been used since 2010 , i was told the solonoid is bad I have the scooter apart and I took the gas line off the carb and kicked it a few times and gas flowed through the lines , after installing a new battery I put the key in the ignition and all that worked was the break light and the blinkers nothing else would function , when I would go to start the bike using the electric start nothing happens no noise or anything , kick start nothing either , the manufacturers date is 2008 if that helps and it has 647 miles on it so it's very young and I would like to get it going any help

after sitting all that time i imagine the carb is pretty gummed up. take it apart and clean the jets and the carb and see if that helps. if the solenoid is bad it won't do anything when you press the start button. try jumping the solenoid to make sure the starter is working. check the spark plug, it may need replacing.

If the gas has been in there for 5 years you need to drain it all out, do a thorough carburetor cleaning, ideally replace lines and filter, and then refill with fresh gas.
As Steve said, jumping the solenoid (put something metal across both large terminals on the starter relay... screwdriver works... but whatever you use don't touch anything else at the same time just the 2 terminals) should tell you if the starter works. The starter should spin when the terminals are connected in that manner. If so you have a bad relay/solenoid or it's not getting any trigger signal from the starter button for some reason.

Dont forget to hold brake lever (s) before hitting starter button.

Ok so the bike still has no power other than the blinkers and tail lights when the key is in the on , power still don't go to the starter when I try to start , but I put a huge screw driver between the solonoid and touched the two connections and it sparked and attempted to start but it has been sitting for 5 years so obv it's not starting so I ordered a new solonoid , but now can anyone tell me the easiest way to clean everything and drain the tank and oil so when I get the solonoid in a week it will just be plug and play and the bike works and it's not a jonway its a Shanghai sheke or something similar to that

go through it empty gas tank take out carb soak carb in gasoline or carb cleaner, blow air through all the jets and orifices, change oil, replace old fuel lines with polyurethane lines (probably are dry rotted)

If the engine tried to start with the old relay then that relay is probably okay but maybe not. Any engine that hasn't run in 5 years isn't gonna want to turn easily. Remove the spark plug, spray a bunch of WD40 into the plug hole and then try cranking the engine with the spark plug removed. It should loosen up and crank really fast if the battery is good. While you are at it, put the plug into the wire cap and hold it against the engine or ground and crank the engine and visually verify that there is a spark. Carburetor cleaning isn't hard. You just need a can of carb cleaner spray and you have to pay attention to the way everything comes apart. There are two jets in the carb. The main jet and the idle jet. The idle jet is the one with the smallest orifice. The easiest way to clean it is to get a single wire bristle from a steel wire brush and slowly drill it through the jet. The screws holding the carburetor bowl onto the carb body are soft so u gotta use a good #2 phillips screwdriver and put a lot of pressure on it when you crack them loose so you don't chew up the screw heads. There are videos on youtube showing carb cleaning. Know this: You have a 50cc GY6 139QMB engine. GY6 is the engine family, 139QMB denotes the engine type and size so when searching for videos if you type in "GY6 Carburetor cleaning" you will get hits specific to a GY6. The Gy6 150cc carbs are similar and the procedure is pretty much the same. www.youtube.com/results?search_query=GY6+carb++cleaning
