I have a Branson 49CC scooter and there's decals on the panels that feel somewhat like they are built in ? I'm after taking them off and replacing them with some other vinyl what's the best method to doing this ? Thanks

Careful use of a heat gun worked for me. It softened them up enough to peel them off almost in one piece.

I've only removed them a couple of times, but mine were under a clear coat. I scored around an edge very carefully with a razor just to get it started. I was left with a faint outline of where the decals once were, but it was not noticeable till you got up close. I put new decals over mine and I don't think most people ever noticed. You can kinda see the outlines from the old decal in spots of the pic below. If you look in the C of Cake you can kinda make out the outline of a T. I've heard to use a heat gun quite a few times, just remember a heat gun will get hot enough to melt plastic so use it sparingly.

I use a heatgun same as oldgeek. If you get it too hot it'll practically melt the decal and come off in a bunch of tiny pieces. Get the heat just right and can pretty much get em off in one piece.

I just went through this and had the decals under the clear coat. I used a razor and lifted the edge and peeled it. It was pretty easy. After I got it all off, I then sanded the panel a little to even out the edge from where the clearcoat was at the decal line..

Dynamite. You wont have to worry about leaving a mark in the clear where the sticker was.

I used a hair dryer to warm them up then used the blade of a carpet knife and carefully started to peel of the corners. It works good with "newer" stickers but if you have to remove over 10 year old decals...
