Anyone had any experience with these? The back story: I have two projects on the go (it's -20 here this AM with 2 feet of snow down). One requires about a 19-20 mm carb, the other a 24-26 mm. My intention for the larger one was a flat slide Mikuni, with maybe a Delorto in the smaller application. If I can use a pair of OKO carbs (a 19 and a 24) all of a sudden the number of parts "on hand" decreases substantially (jets and needles). So, if anyone has anything to offer, I would appreciate it. Thanks. FYI: www.treatland.tv/OKO-19mm-carburetor-p/oko-19mm-black.htm

To my knowledge, the oko carb is an exact replica of the kiehin carb.. The jets are suppose to be interchangable. I have the oko 24mm but have yet to use it, so i can learn something here myself.... :thumb: I do know several guys that are running the oko with no issues..(thats why i got one). (1's on a race engine to)... I think you'll be alright with your choices...

Thanks for the reply!
I might also add: I intend on running pre-mix, so it is my understanding the power jet option is "out". The thing I find odd is no one is saying what jets/needles a new OKO ships with, so you are almost obliged to buy, at the very least, a jet kit. (keeping in mind that none of my local dealers stock jets any more, they are selling fuel injected bikes, and see no reason to stock jets?)

Even if it's not listed, you can contact the sellers and ask them jet sizes. I had a 21mm OKO years ago, but I can't remember what the jet size was for that. 100ish... but you already figured that I imagine. lol I didn't like the OKO, but to be fair I was new to tuning that style of carb and engine at the time. I use Dellorto carbs on all of my scoots now... 21, 24, and 25mm. The problem there is that the 21mm and under Dells use different jets than the larger Dells.

Of course you could DRILL the jets out yourself... i can post a pic of my "kit" if needed.. i did find that somewhat easier than digging for jets.. (my oem carb i never could find jets ANYWHERE).

Ive researched at the OKO's a lot and think they would be a good lowbuck chioce if you are willing to understand all of the jetting systems and know how to adjust them for your project.I may try OKO's someday, but I'm still a Mikuni man now...

I have a Kiehn 28 flatslide.... It is a good piece for bigger apps. Not up there with Mikuni, Dello and such but good enough if you got the skills to tune it and dont mind a little fab work, that was my case anyway...The throttle slide were the cable end hooks in is a pisspoor design. Other than that i was happy with mine, i think the stock bottom end (cases) held me back.?. The stock case is very restrictive and i personally dont think a BIG carb is useful at all with one. A 19-25 is plenty with a stock case IMO...

Thanks for that!
I had pretty well determined 28mm was "out" for me, as I figured it would be too big, my applications being 70cc and 90cc. Don't get me wrong, I would enjoy a big honking carb, but rather than waste the effort, I would be a bit conservative.
