So I haven't been on nearly as much as I would really want to be. Lately when I get on I just read do to my health. Apparently some how I have been blessed with acute pancreatitis. This has hospitalized me twice in the last two months but had been plaguing me for some time. I just thought I was getting old and couldn't eat spicy food anymore. Well I can't eat spicy food anymore and I am getting old....er, but apparently something else had popped up that had the docs wanting to do way too many test on my kidneys. I've changed doctors four times now cause I didn't like what the previous dr said. So far only two have said remotely somewhat the same diagnoses. Which this has me saying the Dr's in my area are idiots and not smarter than a 7th grader. So far the medication they have me on now seems to be working so I'm gonna roll with that for a second and then see what happens. If and when I get time to learn for the second time ever how to post pics I'd love to get a few of the things of done to the scoots, especially the Cannonball. Figures as soon as I start too understand something they go and change it. (Jk 90GTVert, I'm sure it's a better mainframe setup). Keep on riding brothers and sisters. |

I have missed you bud. Glad to hear from you but you MUST get better.
According to the docs last time I had kidney stone problems in 2012 I had an 'great abundance' of gallstones that showed up on the scan. I also have diabetes. I don't know why. I got much better when I got OFF one of my meds that apparently was killing me slowly, -the Metformin they had me on for diabetes. It had been touch and go for a long while. I didn't think I was going to see 2015. I don't know how it will turn out yet either. I have no insurance so I get 'Indigent Medicine', or just the minimum treatment to kick me out the door alive.
Doctors are still 'practicing' medicine, dancing around in white coats, painting their faces, feeding us bat wings and rat turds mixed with rabbit blood, bleeding us, rattling their gourds, and throwing powder into the fire. I am the worlds worst doctor but I have done better for myself lately than the supposed professionals.
I think you can still post pictures the 'old' way. The new way is just a little easier. I hope pictures don't disappear with the new way like they did for the old way when links were broken.
Take care of yourself. I am still kicking at 62&94 years old so you can make it.

Good to see you again Clank. If you can find a doctor that will listen to you and seems to get to the point without a lot of BS, stick with them. I've watched a couple of people go through unknown health issues recently. One friend went through over a year of sickness for unknown reasons, going to specialists, traveling to Baltimore for tests, draining his bank account. Switched docs a month or so ago and he said this one actually paid attention to what he said and was straight forward with replies. Put him on a med and after over a year of nonsense from other docs and specialists, he felt better within days. It's ridiculous what docs can put you through. Not saying I could do their job, but it's crazy how far off they can be or how little some seem to really care beyond getting you in and out and collecting their fee. If and when I get time to learn for the second time ever how to post pics I'd love to get a few of the things of done to the scoots, especially the Cannonball. Figures as soon as I start too understand something they go and change it. If you are referring to the "new image posting method" thread, that's just an addition in hopes of making image uploading even easier. Another option. They can still be posted the same old way. See the forum help button on the sidebar for the old way or check out the new image posting thread for details about that way. |

To post pics and have them show up you click on the little icon above the post box that looks like a picture  and a box will pop up. Then you paste the direct link into the box, click insert image and the pic will appear. |

Glad ur back. Hate to hear about your health issues. I just had some pretty bad kidney troubles myself. I hope you recover soon. IF you get lucky, and find a doctor that listens, and knows the difference from his own ass and a hole in the ground, keep him.

Hope your recovery is going well brother. It's been an ordeal but have never forgotten the people here at 49ccscoot.com. I probably wouldn't have ever owned at least 6 different Chinese scooters. I like helping out newbies so that hopefully they can understand and enjoy their working man's Chinese scooters as much as all of us. 90GTVert , dgerber got the last one. You where right, it's hard getting ppl to sign up even when you tell them it's free. I think as least 50% of the scooter riders was able to catch to give one asked "How much?" Let's see how many I can still tag. craisin, scooterpimp, FrankenMech, niz76, 2tdave, 190mech, katastroff, 90GTVert, Fox, and everyone else thank you. Getting out of town on my scooter my one day a week off is the best self relaxation. (If all goes without incident) On my gixser I felt I would kill myself, on my scoot I feel that some dumbass cager is going to kill me. Neither good but rather be fault of another than by my own hand. (Fully twisting that throttle and tucked as low as possible.) Sorry about the ramble,pain meds kicked in I think.. Thank You 49ccers. I hope I can continue to be a positive contributor to the forum. |
