Well hello there all my scooting buddy's Come time for my tax return to arrive I will be ordering all new parts for my old Honda Elite SE50. Generally I will be replacing the CVT Belt, Roller Weights. Spark Plug, Front Brake assemble with "Working" speedo, Brake shoes for both front and rear. Change the gear oil. Paint up the rims. And reupholster the seat as mine is in HORRIBLE shape. So thinking of it as usual maintenance, as if you were working on a bike that has ALOT of miles and smiles on it and needing the overhaul. What else would you recommend for me to check and replace? I am not worried about price as I will have plenty of cash to spend on rebuilding it all from the ground up. And thoughts would be great in case I miss something or I just didn't know it should be replaced. Also might help to think of it as being 23 years old and alot of it is still running on original hardware. So keep that in mind.

Might want to be looking at fuel filter, lines and vacuum lines. I'd be tempted to pull the top end to see if new rings are in order.

I have already replaced the petcock, fuel line, and vacuum line about 2 weeks ago. And I installed an inline fuel filter. And I had been thinking about the rings needing replaced.

tires jump into my mind, weather cracks or what not. maybe grab some extra lights to have on hand. Actually while I have the rear tire removed to put on the new CVT belt and new roller weights. I will be taking the rim up to a local dealer to have them put a new tire on it. As its VERY bald. Have already purchased a new tire, just didn't wanna spend $60 having them install it. When if I already have it apart, it would cost me all of maybe $20. The front tire is still good, but I may replace that one at a later time as well just for good measure and keep the old one as a spare. Thanks for suggesting gaskets, that never really occurred to me and I will be sure to buy a whole set to go ahead and replace them all. No idea how long its been with the old ones ya know hehe.
