Noticed some port matching opportunities while messing around with the carburetor. The thick plastic gasket between the head and manifold doesn't match the port on the head. Probably a good 5mm off. But if I mess with the gasket I have to mess with the intake manifold. It matches the gasket lol. One of those "oh yeah, I'm a dumbass" moments. I upgraded the valve head and totally neglected the manifold. No point in having that 20mm carb with a choke point that just handicaps its performance.

Ordered an intake manifold and spacer gasket meant for a 150cc scooter. Plan on doing some matching when it all arrives. Hopefully it won't require much modification.. I know I can get mroe out of this scooter than what it's pushing right now. No wind and my top speed is about 38(GPS) {45 according to scoot speedo}. Bummer. I really need to get around to testing compression. I work too much. Thinking about starting a scooter repair business. That way I can have an excuse to buy a bunch of scooter stuff.

As long as you're not a softie like me, you'll do great with a repair shop.

As long as you're not a softie like me, you'll do great with a repair shop. I had a small scooter repair business a few years ago. Just small stuff like carburetor work, valve adjustments, and belt replacement. I ended up with a LOT of scooters. I was moving so I hauled most of them to the recycling plant and sold the rest. Probably had close to 20 scooters sitting in my yard. Looked like a damn junk yard. lol.

I'd see the people so often that they became friends... I had a lot of friends when I had that shop. Anyway, it was fun while it lasted and even kept a few of those friends friends friends friends

Ohhhh. I see. You did stuff too cheap as favors cause you like people. That's admirable. I'm a business major. And a cold hard cash calculating bastard. lol/ jk. I hooked a few people up too. I have a friend that owns a shop a few towns over. Always wondered why he never offered to hook me up. Then I started going to college for business. Friends+Business=fail (most of the time)
