90GTVert, Thanks for the links. The speakers seem like alot of work especially since i do not have a welder nor do i want to get rid of my mirrors but it is a good concept. I will see what i can do and post it.

They make them that attach to standard mirrors easily. I use bar end mirrors so that wasn't how I did it.

Driving home yesterday, noticed i got stuck at a traffic light for a good 6 minutes. The road/Sensors did not recognize me...

I've had luck with different options for triggering lights in my area. Some will respond if I brake late and with the front so it's concentrating more weight in one area on the sensor. Not trying to do a stoppie or anything crazy, but it seems to work at some intersections. Attaching a strong rare earth magnet to the bottom of the scooter has helped with a couple of lights that used to give me trouble. Before going out and scavenging for or buying magnets though, see if you can contact the town/city roads or traffic department. Some will let you report lights that won't change. I did that at one intersection where I could never seem to make it change and I used to run red lights late at night. They said they'd adjust it and I haven't had any more trouble with it. If there are cars around the easy thing to do is to pull way up if it's safe, so a car can get on/over the sensors for you. It seems like whenever I need a car to pull up they stay way back though unless I get tired of waiting and wave them up. I got off at one intersection and asked a cop behind me if I could run the red light since no one was around and he said go ahead.

Lol that's funny- asked the cop to run a red light and he said go ahead. I struggled with this issue everyday as I am (was) a Mtc. Supervisor at an apartment complex. Our property has automatic gates and I would fiddle at the exit gate with my scoot trying to line it up just right over the sensors in the ground- even installed a big ol' magnet and still had the problem. I did a bunch of research and watched a bunch of Youtube vids about how the sensors work etc. Mt scoot never could activate the outgoing gate and I always have to get off the scoot and manually open the gate- I'm pretty sure that magnet is doing it's job for most of the traffic signals with sensors- I don't get stuck at those anymore but I there's a few where I have to line up the scoot just right over the sensors... Here's an interesting vid that I found- it's for South Carolina...

I found this cool video by Kipkay, he is a guy that used to do super hacks with simple things. He is "okay" now.. here is the link www.youtube.com/watch?v=8GAacxGiV4A. I would like to know what "Gear" (Jacket, pants, etc) people wear with their scooter without looking over dressed for it. The issue i am having is i have a half helmet with a front cover and the wind hits my chin and lip making me cold. I dont want to use money on a full helmet because it will cost me money and also it would look overdressed for a scooter. What do you guys wear and recommend?

I wear a full faced. The people that think I look over-dressed prob won't be willing to pay the bills if I bust my nose or knock all of my teeth out, so I do what I feel is right for me. I don't see it as over-dressed personally. There's no shame in being protected. If all you want is to keep the chill off of your face cheap, a bandana may do it.

I will note it down and see if i can find something affordable full face.
Also, Just as a general information question, do i need to warm up me scoota before I ride it (almost like a car) or is it ready to go? If i do need to warm up, how long?
I know that at times if i turn it on cold it turns off by itself so i rev it very low enough for it to stay on. Is that recommend (just to warm it up).

We have no helmet laws here in FL and like an idiot I used to just ride in t-shirt, shorts, and flip flops. I still ride in shorts and flip flops but I wear a full faced helmet and riding gloves now! I should be wearing something more protective I know and we joke about us Floridians all riding in flip flops. I'm leaving myself open for major road rash and who knows what a crash with flip flops would feel like but at least I'm wearing a brain bucket and gloves nowadays! It's pretty common here to see riders flying by on full sized motorcycles with no shirt on and no helmet! Even though we have no helmet laws I do seem to see about 50% of people wearing helmets- smart.

It's best to warm it up a little. I at least let it run while I am putting on my helmet, gloves, and jacket. It would be best to go a little easy on it for the first mile or two. This lets the oil warm up and thin and lets things expand to proper tolerances better. It's fine to rev it enough to keep it going when it first starts.
AFAIK any sidecars would be a custom job, no bolt-on kits. Not sure if they're even legal in all areas on a 49cc?

Here is a link to a guy down here in Florida that is making sidecars specifically for scooters: Keltic SidecarsHe started making them for Honda Mets which is on of the slowest scooters around so they must be light enough for almost any other scooter but you may want a BBK if you put it on a ATM50

I am not sure if he is even still around, the website has not been updated in a while although he does have videos on YouTube showing the sidecar on a Met, Ruck and a Zuma. Since he is local to you Niz, you might want to reach out and see if he is still doing this.

At $1695 starting price you can buy another TaoTao or 2 and let the passenger drive their own scoot if that's what it's for and they're able to. Still neat though. Cool for pets, kids, or carrying capacity. Thanks for the link.
