I emailed them to get more information. Thanks for providing the link!
90GTVert, you have a point but it would be an interesting concept
now can someone explain to me what a BBK is or atleast provide me links on all these terms/acronyms/definitions. I know what car parts are because i have a 2jz but scooter is a whole new thing to me.

BBK= Big Bore Kit. Your normal cylinder on your scooter is 49.5cc. That is the amount of air/gas mixture that your engine can take in during the intake stroke. A big bore kit will increase the cylinder and piston size so that it can take more of the air/fuel mixture (80cc instead of 49.5cc). The more it can take in, the more power the engine can make. Here is a link to an example BBK for your scooter: BBK for 139QMB engineI am sure there are videos on this board that show how to do this too.

Cool link FA! I like the guy's story too. I always enjoy hearing of folks who grab life by the cajones and do something they love for a living! I am not sure if he is even still around, the website has not been updated in a while although he does have videos on YouTube showing the sidecar on a Met, Ruck and a Zuma. Since he is local to you Niz, you might want to reach out and see if he is still doing this. Huh- yeah he is only like 10 minutes away.. I didn't even look at his location. Might be an interesting little ride to check it out! Shoot, I'd hop on my scoot and go now but I spend Tuesdays and Thursdays all day at home with my 8month and 11 year old daughters

Interesting.. I should check it out, can use the power since i will take my wife on the scooter with me.
Also, i just took a good 40 minute ride locally during lunch and i heard a rattling noise at some RPMs. Is that normal?
Also, on the ATM50, any chance i can put bigger wheels on them for a smoother ride. Massachusetts roads arent the smoothest.
Lastly, cleaning techniques for both scooter (plastic panels of course) and helmet?

Rattles are pretty normal. You could probably remove the front fender and fit a narrow 12" wheel/tire if you really wanted to or fit a slightly taller tire on the current wheel. Maybe a taller tire on the back, but there isn't a lot of room left with the short case engines for big tires. Wash it like a car, but make sure you can't get water into your airbox or filter. If you have any crankcase vents, guard those from water as well. I use plastic bags or shrink wrap usually and use the hose sparingly in those areas. Try not to spray anything electrical. Simple Green works as well if you don't wanna hose it off. I usually just use a non-ammonia glass cleaner on my helmet/visor.

I wonder if velcro would hold up and if they're going to be loud enough at speed. Mine used two speakers designed for 2 wheelers and a 100W amp powered by the scoot's batt/charging and I had to crank it up pretty high at speed. Maybe look into bicycle speaker systems. I don't know much about them, but I'd guess they at least designed for something moving 20MPH, albeit without engine noise. If you have to crank them all the way up they prob won't sound good and the battery life will be much less than they state.

The issue is, i am not a hand/crafty guy.. anytime i take something apart, it never goes back the way it was and never works the way it should, thus i was looking for alternates. How easy is it though? This is the same reason why i am struggling to make up my mind on a BBK for the TAOTAO to make it faster...

There is tons of documentation so if you've got the will, it WILL get back together. have some confidence, this stuff looks harder than it is lol.
