I have never seen one of those and I been looking at scooters for a long time. That's a keeper.
What's the VIN say on it as far as factory of origin? I'm guessing it was "assembled" in Italy maybe but from Chinese parts.

I went online and saw that Maliguti is the only other surviving scooter manufacturer in Italy. They have been manufacturing scooters since the 1930s. They have primarily used the horizontal Mineralli in all their 50CC scooters. I believe like the stamp on the engine casing says, it was made in Italy. This was one of the last scooters that they imported to the US and they stopped importing them in 2005. The manufacturing cost and shipping makes them too expensive for the US market. In 2005 the MSRP on the Yesterday was around $3000. I think that and the regulations surrounding 2 stroke engines forced them out of the US. I kinda knew that this was a special scooter when I told Niz about it, I was just not in the position to take advantage of it so I figured that someone else on the forum should get it before some kid in Gainesville tried to make a Ruck lowrider out if it!

Well, I have seen Taiwanese made "Lambrettas" that have the horizontal Minarelli powerplant too. The only place to get model specific parts is from Adly (AJ) in Fla. I think it's just a name licensing thing. www.lambrettausa.com/default.aspx

They have a 50 cc scooter called a DVD that is actually an ATM50 A so maybe this does have imported parts. I guess Niz can check the VIN to see

So did you flip it Niz? I saw the CL ad today at lunch and now I can't find it. Is it somewhere burning gas?

So did you flip it Niz? I saw the CL ad today at lunch and now I can't find it. Is it somewhere burning gas? I put the scoot up for sale without the title for $750 hoping for a quick sale. We went to MI for a week and it didn't sell during that week (I left it with a buddy of mine). I think I'll give it another week or so and if I still haven't sold it I'll take the ad down and start the title work through motorecyclenow.com. Corrosion just got his VT title and tag in the mail from them (for his Vento Zip) and I think it took less than two weeks! Of course, once I spend the $75 and wait two weeks for title- the price will go up to around 1k! I just added a video tonight to the CL ad- might be why it was missing for a lil while- while I edited and renewed the ad. Here's the video! *Note* the prebug in toward the end of the video isn't really mine- it's a flip scoot from a while back that the owner brought back to me today to fix an exhaust leak for him. He seems to break something about every couple months and then pays me to fix it haha. Here's the vid!

So what's up with this? I saw the ad was down off of CL. Did you get her sold Niz or did you decide to get the title? Inquiring minds want to know!

Woop so sorry fellas I dropped the ball on this update haha. Well, this wasn't exactly the grand slam I was hoping it would be. I sold the scoot last week for $500 with no title. Yep- kinda sad really. I guess it's not too bad for a $150 purchase. I was actually only a day or two away from pulling the scoot off Craigslist and starting the title process, but finally just took the $500 for it as-is. I was contemplating keeping this scoot since I only paid $150 but as I would take it out for short rides almost everyday the scoot never really did grow on me. I speak mainly of it's physical size- kinda small and cramped and the small seat only has a small "soft spot" so you're kinda forced to ride sitting in an awkward position with no real option to slide your butt back for more comfort- so, not the "keeper" I was hoping for... Oh. well. On to the next! Actually, y'all will probably notice that I'll be slowing down on the scoot flips- not stopping entirely, just slowing down... I have actually been searching now for one of those "keeper" scoots on my list. I think I really want to get something that makes me absolutely drool and do a full bottom-up build on it. I'm thinking of scoots like the Vespa ET2, Piaggio Zip or Typhoon, I really really like the Benelli X50! I have seen a few Aprilia's come across the Tampa craigslist also. I think it's high time I find that "keeper" I've been looking for!
Oh ya- Btw I wanted to mention that the whole time I rode this Yesterday I was pretty sure it was CVT restricted by the way it'd hit 30mph and stop on a dime at that top speed. Sure enough, about an hour before it sold I opened up the CVT and removed a restrictor ring from between the vari plates! Got about 37 mph after that...

Niz, congrats on the sale! That's really not too bad for a cleanup. Little bit of a trip to get it though. Did the new owner indicate whether they were going to try to get a title for it or were they taking it to a state that didn't need one (like Georgia)? Just curious, untitled scooters fascinate me. ARRRGH MATEY!

Actually, I was getting bites like crazy on that scoot before finally selling it and a couple fellas planned to use the motorecyclenow link I gave in the CL ad. The fella who actually did buy it spoke such broken English that he brought a english speaking friend just to translate haha. I think he was planning to use that title service also... I think. Seriously amazed at the number of phone calls I got asking if I had the title! Like Really? How did u get my phone number? From the ad right? I spent considerable effort explaining there's no title and what to do about it! lol smh. Craigslisters amaze me!
