I used to joke around about this back when we worked on getting the most out of our cars and such....One day i stood there with my leafblower and looked at the small (about the same as the leafblower) diameter air inlet tube on my old Geo Tracker. I thought it would be fun to try but never did it lol  . Guess it works to an extent huh? PLEASE excuse the music :scared:

I actually watched that vid not long ago. It makes a little power, but I think it's more effective in that environment with the leafblower at a straight shot, not drawing in hot air, etc... ...And besides, I'd sacrifice 10HP to say I don't have a leaf blower under my hood. lol
Real blowers and turbos are slightly more effective...

Most leaf blowers like that put out around 1hp. 10 hp gain from 1 hp input ain't bad. Be interesting to slap a chamber and bigger carb on that blower and double the output and see what that would do.

Here's another way to hop up your ride with a leaf blower...

I think that second video was a dual turbocharger setup.
What about a turbo? You think something like this would work on a 2 stroke?
EDIT: I guess it will... This one doesn't seem all that impressive though

Here's a link to a project. One problem is the unavailability of a small enough turbo to provide enough back pressure so very much boost can be developed. Attempts like this one only generate a few psi. www.scooterinvasion.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1923

I had met a guy that swore he made a cage for the leaf blower motor itself and on his honda said he could get around 5-7lbs of boost from the leaf blower... It sure sounds/looks appealing.
