Is it normal for the water reservoir to leak condensed water from the cap and even venting overpressure when hot? I have small drop building around the cap, it doesnt flow but if i wipe it eith paper it appears next ride again, a wet line. The fart is audiable when shutting down engine, fssssss.. The cap was not very tightly sealed, which i have done now - just figuring if this is a bad sign overall or normal? I have no signs of overheating severly (soft seize etc).
Watercooled aerox with no temp sensor, i know bearings/seal in water impeller are bad and leak about a drop a day, will change this in workshop in a couple of weeks, hope i can ride till then.

Update, seem to leak more now, its def. from the cap of the water reservoir. I have not overfilled. It seem to leak more the more its filled. It leaks so much that the reservoir ends up empty (about 3dl water/coolant had to be refilled).
Any help would be appreciate?

How's the condition of the rubber seal on the radiator cap? Torn or missing will cause it to leak.
EDIT: is it the radiator cap or overflow bottle?

Update: I noticed it seem to leak by the water moving around in the water reservoir - if I stand still, motor off, and shake the scooter rough, it will start leaking. So when driving, roughness and bumps in the roads are probably the main culprit - not overheating. How's the condition of the rubber seal on the radiator cap? Torn or missing will cause it to leak. EDIT: is it the radiator cap or overflow bottle? I actually just tried another cap (also previously used), from my other aerox - scooter still leak in the same manner as above. Should these caps really leak from water moving around in the tank?? |

Maybe the fill neck is damaged

Yes might be so, when tightening the cap very very hard, it leaks less, but still too much. Ill reservoir with the other scooter to check
