Nice. $300 probably isn't too bad to put in a hitch, and make sure the electrical works right.

You might think about mounting shocks to it. From my experience those small trailers bounce a bit. It's not hard to do and anything helps. Nice find.

Yeah I have a '91 MPV so the hitch is a little different that the one you linked to Brent. They're around $200 on-line then I'd have to install and wire the damn thing and I'm sure you know how much I suck at wiring. I'll gladly pay extra for the wiring and install. I just went down there and ordered the hitch. The only one that will fit is at a store down in L.A. so they are going to ship it to the store down the street from my house. They give you a 5 year warranty on the wiring and a lifetime warranty on the hitch/receiver. You might think about mounting shocks to it. From my experience those small trailers bounce a bit. It's not hard to do and anything helps. Nice find. RD It has leaf springs on it already. I think it'll be all right as long as I don't go over 55-60. The guy that sold it to me said he used it for his scooter and he would go 65 with it no problem.

That's a good little trailer. I got mine from HF in a box and had to build it. I got a "swing away" front wheel that was worth every bit of the $20. This is how i finished mine out. Big enough to for the scoots but i'll have to add a bit if i haul the KZ. And yes i was sick of working by the time i got to the wiring. Gonna have to re-do and hide that but it works.

I like it! I think I might do something like that with mine. I gotta pick up a couple of L-brackets for the lights for sure. I think I'd like to get a spare tire for it as well. I'm for sure gonna put a couple of diagonal braces on the front to stiffen it up.

I never thought I'd say it, but, It's too bad my brothers trailor is not in my driveway. He built the sides to pull out, real handy. I'll have to post you some pictures when I get a chance at it

So I got the hitch installed today on my van. $277 including the ball part and wiring. The height is good but I'm a little worried about the way the safety chains are. They just hook onto the hitch loops and they could fall off easy if I hit a bump. I still haven't done anything to the trailer yet. The trailer's wiring is all bad so I'll have to start over there. The guy at U-haul said they would help me do it. They put an odd shaped plug on there with 8 holes. I'll have to see if the 4 pronger I have on there will work with that. Maybe I could get a couple of those chain loops that you can open up by unscrewing the nut for the safety chains so they can't fall off?

The removable links look like a good idea. I wouldn't trust the hooks that much either. If you need to completely redo the wiring, the type of connector it has now doesn't matter too much. I'm sure you can get a trailer wiring kit with the connector to match up to U-Haul's.

I was thinking I could splice my plug into the wiring and just run my own wires but the kit is already set up and the less splices the better. Thanks Brent.

Considering the business you are in, you could mount scooter tail lights on the back.
Wait... I hate scooter tail lights and always replace them. Well, it sounded cool at first. lol

Make sure you have a spare tire. Trying to find one in a strange town after hours some time imposable.
