Anyone ever put a crank in like this, with just a heat gun? Fair warning, better off muting, way better off if you cant stand techno :scared: :barf: . The guy in this vid speaks but you cant really hear him over the music.

I know him, he's the one with a dyno. I was down there Tuesday in fact. I'll tell him to speak up in future

John did this to install the bearings and crank for Larry. I think I migt try it next time around. Looks faster and your oven won't have to have a weird odor for a while this way. lol

I've said it a lot, but it's awesome stuff. I use 1194, some prefer 1104 or 1211. So far it's sealed everything the first time for me. I've used it on the gearbox and reeds too. The only words of caution I have for using it for those : be prepared for a fight removing the gearbox cover or reed cage. The cage and spacers and gaskets will all be stuck together hard.... but I've never had a leak using it. lol Other sealers would probably be a better choice for the reed cage, I just like to know it'll seal sometimes instead of crossing my fingers.
Yamabond 4 is supposed to be very similar or the same. Permatex Ultra Seal Grey is popular and you can count on finding it at most local auto parts stores. Hondabond 4 as well as Hondabond HT also has a lot of fans. If you wanna go to extremes you can get Pro Seal. It's a two part sealer that's popular in aviation. It gets good reviews for being tough, but it sounds like a lot of extra trouble when all of the above are simple one part sealers (just crank open the tube and apply).
