If you pull the seat bucket the cdi should be bolted on right side frame rail facing the plastics, just in front of the starter relay.

Pulled off head and cylinder it was a milky white substance so I looked at rings and cylinder all is good so I put it all back together,I'm leaning towards bad gas in the tank so I drained all the gas out the tank and gonna clean it completely out tomorrow and put a manual petcock on and get rid of the regular petcock!!!

Yeah this thing is brand new I mean nice for a 9 year old scooter it only has 1300 miles on it,and the little tiny rubber pieces are still on the sidewalls of the tire, also its getting spark I checked that today also so if the fresh gas doesn't fix it I will trouble shoot more

I had to clean the whole fuel system on a friend's Eurostrada a few weeks ago. He had bad gas in his also. It was pretty simple and straight forward.

I would think that it would be an a.c. fired cdi so it should not need a battery but I would not run it very long without a battery. It may burn up your charging system. Even if you use a dead battery for now,it is still better than no battery because the generated voltage is at least going into the dead battery and protecting your charging system from frying.

If you are still getting spark without a battery,it is a.c.fired.
