I have a adly thunderbike 50 and wanted to upgrade my exhaust. i was under the impression that this scoot has a minarelli clone on it and that i should be able to use an exhaust made for one on it. i purchased a cheap exhaust for it that was listed for minarelli motors knowing it wouldnt make a big performance increase but would get the look an sound i want. it arrived and looks fine but it will not bolt up. the flange where it mounts to the cylinder is the right pattern and also the hanger braket but its like the bend isnt made correctly. if i bolt to the hanger the flange is several inches away from the jug, if i bolt the flange to the jug it wont fully bolt down and the hanger wont match up....also hits the fan shroud etc. the seller is telling me that my adly doesnt use the standard minarelli clone...is he right or is this pipe made wrong? sorry for the long post thanks for any help

WELCOME!! Your Adly uses the standard Mina horizontal clone pipe. That pipe you have there in the pic is the correct one. It's rare that any exhaust bolts right up and all the holes line up just perfect- they almost all need to be tweaked and/or bent a bit. There's a small trick to getting the exhaust to slide into place without hitting the fan shroud- gotta leave one bolt out (or nut off if using studs) and first get the rear hanger close and then slide the flange over one cylinder bolt, and then finally install the second one. You have the correct exhaust- just gotta "tweak it" some...

That way it could be tweaked and adjusted to fit.. :)For some pipes you have to drill holes in the pipes mountin brackets to make them fit.. Click to enlarge pic below..

I was pretty sure it was the correct pipe...the box was kinda damaged which i think bent the hanger some...i ended up bending the pipe a bit and then cut the bracket off and welded it back on where it fit nicely. I have to say i am pretty impressed w this pipe for the money. I wasnt expecting huge gains but it really woke up my stock motor. Previously it didnt really want to rev past 7000rpm or so...now it really takes off at 7000 and pulls hard all the way to over 9000..of course i had to retune my cvt for the higher powerband. I also just installed a 70cc kit and the pipe seems to work quite well with it too...much faster 0-40mph and pulls up to over 50mph now
