I also checked the ac voltage at the cdi connector with the scooter running. I found 210vac @idle and a max of 280vac while revving??? May have to get back to you on the stator info. Well, I said I said that I have the same engine as you, however, mine is a/c while yours is w/c.... not sure if their stators are the same?

AC and LC have the same stators, it's the year that matters. What year is yours?

Oh, and an update. It's sort of working, usable but still rather stuttery at certain rev ranges.

You'll need the old type stator then. The last year they were used was 2005. This is probably the cheapest one you'll find: beedspeed.com/product_info.php?products_id=6553You'll see the pre '05 parts referred to as ''old shape'' and 06- as ''new shape''. This is because the whole body shape of the Runner line changed then.

Ohhh, it gets better. The chrome plating is almost entirely worn off the ring, after only 400mi. I've replaced it for now with a ring that's done 1500mi, but still has noticeably more meat on it.

Sorry, cross posted. Possibly, but I am very careful to clean it regularly (100 or so mi). I reckon a leaky head gasket had a large part to play. It's been copper RTV'd up for safety, all back together bar the exhaust which I shall reinstall in the morning.

I ordered some rollers from Beedspeed way back in 03 when finding Chinese scooter (my first scooter) parts here in the States was practically impossible.

Ahhh.....the joys of a high performance scoot Coolant leaking into the cylinder sure would do it. Didn't even think to suggest it because I'm usually playing with AC cylinders. Glad you found the culprit.

If you want anything I can ask on the weekend when I'm down at Shiny Red's, I should be able to get second hand parts cheap. I got a £55 Malossi reed block for £10 last time :riding:
