My ignorance of fuel injection systems is vast. Not suggesting this but how hard would it be to convert a girlie to a carbureted motor?Trying to learn something here. Also if one has left a fuel injected motor set to long with today's crappy gas how does one clear the system?Any knowledgeable auto techs out there?

The first 4t vino's had that motor with a carb so it is doable. They are top mount I would drop a 2t in it. Will when I find one of my own

I have the same plans for a C3 / Zuma swap. Just need to find a clean C3 with a bad engine, or cheap enough to make it make sense.

The c3 rear wheel looks like the Zuma but the rear drum is smaller (standard clone size) I was thinking use one of my adly 90's at 103cc with the standard clone shortcase 11:1 gears and a sleeper pipe c3 wheel would work that way. If you used a Zuma motor you would have to use the Zuma wheel

I would love to have a Metro with an AF16 motor but Metropolitans,at least in my area, never show up reasonably priced.(My definition of reasonable is cheap).

I've been looking for a while. I like the seating position but not the 4T.

The c3 stops really good with the front drum. The forks are spaced wide I've been thinking on a disc conversion. They will run low 40's gps with the 4t

Good evening all, i cant believe its been like two years since I visited the site or read any posts.... I still have the C3, however I never bothered with it much and the poor scooter has been relegated to the back of the shop. well, until last week, a friend asked if I wanted a scooter and I reluctantly agreed to give it a new home. It happened to be a C3 in the same color as my own. With all this excitement, I decided to resurrect my old scooter and try once again to get it road ready. After careful inspection, I firmly believe the culprit was the injector.Unfortunately the second C3 is missing parts of the top end including the injector and throttle body. So now i'm once again scouring eBay and the internet trying to locate a suitable injector. My question is: Will an injector from a 4T Vino, or Zuma work? I'm no longer in the scooter business anymore and for a long while had completely lost interest in scooters. But, somehow, I've caught myself sneaking into the garage and sitting on my Super 9 and thinking about the ggod time on the road...

I just acquired a Yamaha C3 scooter. At 10,120 miles. This neat little scooter will run for a few minutes and just shut down. Typically, this is a sign telling me it needs a valve adjustment. Great. does anyone have advise in dealing with shim under bucket adjustments? Over on the Zuma Forums pages under the Maintenance tab and a little deeper is a shop manual for the Zuma 50cc 4t and it uses the little shim gizmos for valve adjustment. There seems to be real good info on how to calculate the new shim needed. It may take a time or two to read but it will make sense eventually. Just kind of good to know info. Enjoy your new scoot. Greg If needed I have downloaded the service manual and, Brent, If you have a space for it here I can pass it off to you to post here. I think it might be useful to Zuma, Vino and Metro 4t owners.

I too picked up a C3 and currently working it. Link below. jiangwayne.com. Has upped injectors. I also have a Met with a 4 valve Euro head which I converted to run on carb. Link below.

Thank you all. I have a Vespa that uses shims and it has been a little bit of a mystery to me about how to decide what shim. Yamaha spells it out very clearly.

I took a quick look thru the Yamaha C3 service manual and it too contains the valve adjust procedure, word for word, the same as what I found for the Vino 4t 50cc .
So if you are dealing with pads, shims or cups to adjust your valves check out the Yamaha C3 service guide that you can find within the confines of 49ccscoot and have fun.
Greg
Thanks Brent.
