Never tried slick tyres before, let us know what they are like. My buddy says that he's really liking it and that he can get the bike to drift in the corners real nice. lol I told em it's all good and fun until he high sides it.

I'm not a gamer, but I just bought a Xbox 360 modded with jtag and a hard drive with hundreds of games for 70 bucks from a friend. Then I went to groupon and bought a year of xbox live for 40 bucks after tax and destiny taken king legendary edition for 25 bucks after tax. My brother just got Destiny and I saw him playing, remembered I loved it when I tried the beta, so I went bananas. I'll probably play that stuff 3 times then let it collect dust while I'm messing with my scooters...

The last game I really played was Gyrus, I beat it the first time I played and blistered my finger. I played a couple first person shooters with my son but when I found I could not kill opposing players through furniture or walls I gave that up as unrealistic. Where is the concussion and flying debris? How can anyone that has been around real guns play something like that? The driving games were also difficult without the seat of the pants feedback I had in real racing, again unrealistic. I see you can buy armored couches nowadays but will they take a full power round from an AK? Games just aren't for me.
BTW- I do have a refurbished laptop coming but it is not for games. It is for use in the shop.

Never tried slick tyres before, let us know what they are like. Once there warmed up they are surprisingly very responsive. Depending on the compound you use they can be too much grip. Especially when braking. But boy if they're cold it's like riding on glass marbles. Throttle Ground. No in between.

Ordered the cheapo big valve 50mm head to go with the 52mm kit I ordered. So much money.. Should probably get new tires sometime. Meh. Speaking of gaming, I've got a nice gaming desktop I built over time with lawn mowing money. I haven't changed much in the last year+ besides upgrading it to 16GB RAM in October when I got a nice deal for a 4x4GB kit for $30. It does everything I want it to. AMD FX 8320 at 4.4GHz lapped and water cooled with dual Radeon R9 270s in Crossfire inside my nice NZXT Phantom case. Dual 1080p IPS screens and a mechanical keyboard. I love it. I've got a couple other PCs next to it, my legacy gaming rig and my low profile HP home server thingy. (It has a Core 2 Quad and a GTX 750ti that I got really cheap inside it. Just because.)

You could definitely have a good system for less than 400 bucks if you watch out for sales. (Not counting monitor) Mine was probably $1000+ including monitors and the price of the few things I got as gifts. So, yeah.

Since I don't need power or performance for web browsing, email, or netflix graphics I just rebuild/repair old computers. I have two Intel Core2 Duo E7500 2.4Ghz machines with 4 GB RAM each, shared graphics, and 120G SSD drives. One has W-7 64bit home and the other has W-7 32 bit pro.
Never buy anything W-Home. I set up the 32 bit machine first and it took about an hour. The Home machine took a week to get it set right. Commands are difficult to find in POS Home. The only difference between the machines is that the Pro machine does not have email. Since neither machine is ON at the same time I use a 2TB NAS RAID-1 on my 10/100 wired network to pass files, notes, and for storage.
The new laptop is a ThinkPad Laptop T420 Intel Core i5 2520M (2.50 GHz) 4 GB Memory 320 GB HDD Intel HD Graphics 3000 14.0" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit w/DVD-ROM. I may upgrade to a small SSD if I can figure out how. I have no idea whether I will get restoration or system disks with it.

Built a new pic gaming rig. This one is an Intel I5 6600k Skylake @ 3.5ghz, overclocked to 4.2ghz, 16gb DDR4, 250gb SSD, Corsair 750HXi PSU, AMD GPU. Running Windows 10. Just installed an optic drive and ordered another 1TB HDD for storage. Planning to upgrade a little as we go. Next thing I want is a GTX970 GPU and a 4K display.

First is a Dell Precision M4500 which is a high end workstation laptop. Or at least it was 5 years ago. I got it on eBay for $200 and spent maybe $60 in repairing/cleaning it up plus a 120GB SSD. It's a really good laptop for what it is, it's got an i7 920XM (4 core 8 thread) and a decent Quadro FX1800m. I have a much smaller Latitude E4310 that I use for school every day. i5, Intel GPU, 64GB SSD, etc. I do enjoy playing with and fixing up older laptops. I have a 4:3 Thinkpad T60 next to me that I got for free to play with.

Just picked up my wife a new Acer R11 to replace her old Macbook Pro, which I in turn sold to cover the cost of the Acer. If your in the market for a nice notebook hybrid, check out the R11 on Amazon for $257.
