Doesn't carbon shrink as it heats up? So what happens when you're unloading into a zombie hoard and the steel barrel tries to expand into the shrinking carbon? How well does that thing sink the heat out into the air? No idea they made stuff like that.

How well does that thing sink the heat out into the air? No idea they made stuff like that. It has a thin steel liner and then wrapped with carbon. They've been doing it for a while so they've got it down to a science now.

I don't have any brains left for a zombie to eat. I did pick up a urinal last week to make those night time piss sessions less of a hassle and cleaner. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009GPXF48The price has gone up over $150 dollars though! Making a 2" drain connector was a bit of a hassle. I used a modified PVC 1.5" street ell (sanded off on the OD and shortened 0.5"), 1.5-2" PVC bushing, and a 2" Male NPT to 2" pipe PVC fitting. That way I could turn the corner inside a 2x4" stud cavity.

Hey all! So you may have noticed I haven't been around on the site nearly as I much as I used to be and it's been awhile since I've posted about any scoot projects.... I have a good excuse for that I promise! While my recent infatuation with the drone, ahem- multicopter, hobby is one reason- it's not the real reason... The real reason is because I've been a busy little beaver and made a recent VERY significant purchase. I bought the Company I work for! Yep. I bought myself a J.O.B. that I already have haha. In truth, it actually isn't quite official yet. We had another meeting last night and we're shooting for June 1st as the official takeover date. My boss and her husband own two businesses and Aqua Shark Pool Care (The Co. I bought) is the smaller of the two. They also own a window and door Co. About a year ago they had some issues with their Window and Door partnership and bought out the other partner. Since then my (soon to be ex) boss has been running both businesses and just doesn't have the time nor ambition to run Aqua Shark anymore. Since I started working for them a couple of years ago when the biz was a lot smaller (and I had a lot more free time!) it's grown quite a bit. More than double to be exact. I have been their only full time employee while the biz has grown and naturally I have a very good relationship with them and their family. The Company (Now my Company wow- that has such a nice ring to it ) has an excellent rep (patting myself on the back here) and the potential for growth is HUGE. She has honestly just been letting most of the Aqua Shark calls just go to voicemail as she's busy running their other biz. I have tons of ideas for growth and efficiency and really excited to take the reigns! They'll be holding the note themselves and financing me over a period of three years. So, technically I won't actually own the biz until three years from now haha. It's going to be a family run biz just as it is now. The wifey is quitting her job and running the day to day operations and my 2 1/2 year old will be able to stay home with mommy instead of go to daycare every day (which is also a pretty large expense for us that won't have to be paid anymore). My daily job won't change much from what it's like now except that I'll finally have the power to clean up my route and axe some of the more 'undesirable' pools that I've always wished I could get rid of. It's funny how life works out sometimes and I feel like I've been on a great roll lately. The planets seem to be aligning and working out great for myself and my family. I had already started building my own Pool Service Biz on the side (shh don't tell!) and was planning to part ways eventually and then this opportunity came along! If you can't tell I'm very excited to start this next chapter in my life and just can't wait to make this business bloom like I know it can. So yeah- that's my recent significant purchase. I bought the Company I work for! Hopefully it'll eventually translate into a little more free time for me and maybe even a budget for nicer scoot projects. (After I get the quadcopter I've been wanting of course lol). So that's my excuse for not posting any new projects lately haha. I've got a couple scoot projects here that need finishing though so maybe I'll have something sooner than later.... Not happy with your current job? Buy the Company and run it your way! Thanks for reading my long post everyone!

That's great news niz76 ! It might not seem like it but the best part might be the kiddie staying home with mommy. She will be able to grow in more ways then just height. I can understand wanting to rid of some stops. I average 150-185 customers per month. Someday I'll be my boss, my wife is too scared for me to tackle it on my own now.
