Picked up this 20 ton press from Harbor Freight today. They were kind enough to honor an expired coupon from last month for $154.99 they are regularly $199.00

You use it to put tremendous pressure on things like press fit gears and crankshafts so you can take them apart and put them back together.

Geek we use one at work on that rare occasion. Just watch the screw. The o rings on them are prone to leaking. Replaced the cheap one with a nice quality one and haven't had an issue since.

A press is always handy. I have a 3-Ton home built press made out of wood bolted together. It creaks and groans a mite. Picked up another tiny scooter thingy last weekend. It has hydraulic drive, -no CVT. It has Low and High speed gears both forwards and reverse. It may run some day. The 16HP Onan engine seems to be locked up from exposure. I am working on access to the flywheel to turn the engine. This picture is a similar unit: I may have to take off one front wheels and modify it to run a single front tire then run it as a scooter... I don't know how fast it will go with those 16"x8.00" rear tires and high gear. I will have to get a couple of those old Brigs and Stratton 3HP engine stickers.

From what I'm seeing- these 70's on up Vespa's aren't all that rare and parts are pretty accessible... The seller told me they do have "Vespa swap meets" here in the Tampa area so maybe I'll end up being 'one of those Vespa guys?' lol. I'm not that huge into factory correct restorations- I mean, unless it were a much older classic, then yes of course- but these Vespa's don't seem to suffer in value from non-original restoration so I'll embrace the Vespa originality and make it my own! I already have ideas...
