I think the scooter rider was at fault completely 100%. I mean he switched lanes and then glanced over his shoulder. He should have done it in reverse order. He got cocky.

It sure appears the car was speeding, but I agree about looking. I guess he checked his mirror, but why bother to shoulder check after you change lanes? Of course with the speed he was going, it could have been that he saw the car in the mirror and didn't realize how fast it was approaching and looked back hearing the horn.

OUCH.... Thankfully dude was able to jump up tho!!!!!!! I think BOTH are at faulty there... I do have to agree with fox about the rider.. Here in n.c, it doesnt matter about fault... It will ly on the person that rear ended the front vehicle

That looks to have happened in Hong Kong. The red taxi in the beginning was the give away.

Nice protective gear, as in none, should be an advert for at least wearing long pants and sleeves.

It will ly on the person that rear ended the front vehicle Same here in Virginia a while ago. Used to hear stories of people working together to box a car in and brake check them to cash out on their insurance (ie: newer/better car, medical bills, etc). I think it's kind of funny - it's not funny that he got hurt or the accident occurred, but how the Scooterist slams the brake as he realizes he's about to get rear ended! Luckily the car didn't hop up and over top of him. Could have been MUCH worse. What if he would have rolled to the left instead of right? This man is lucky to be alive. Speaking of protective gear, even though he was up and walking, i'm sure he's got some serious road rash on those exposed and unprotected peripherals of his - his right hand was probably pretty bad as it was the first point of impact (a small point, at that) while at speed. Ouch. Nice find, thanks for sharing!
