Hey guys and gals, remember I posted a while back that my wifes Camaro was totaled by a tree branch in a wind storm we had here? Well, we have been sharing my Cobalt and I've seen her panic a couple times when she needed the car at the same time I had something to do so I went and bought a used 2002 Chevy S-10 pick-up from Hertrich down the road from me...I gave her the '06 Cobalt so now we're independently mobile again, yay! Fact is we needed/wanted a truck for the business so now I can haul stuff all day long till I get this place back in ship-shape. Just thought I'd share!

I have discovered trucks are very handy to have. Don't know how I got along without one. Good deal for both of you.

If you ever break down on the scoot (I've done it too much lol) it's very nice to be able to load it in the truck without having to call in a favor from a buddy, assuming the wife is around the truck at the time. The downside to a truck is that now everyone you know without a truck will need help moving or hauling something.

That is the one downfall of being the one with a truck.

Man, this thing eats fuel with a v-6...I'm used to 32mpg with the cobalt and am getting 18-20 with the truck. Been to the dump twice so far and am getting some areas tended to around here. I'll rent the truck to whoever needs it lol. If I do have a breakdown at least I'll have a way to haul it home without asking felliott for a favor, though he would do it gladly. Yup, I'm feeling a part of the redneck brotherhood...love my truck.

Truck mileage always sucks. The Mazda B3000 has no power at all and it still gets about 19MPG. It amazes me how it takes so much gas to go so slow.

well now that little nissan i had was getting 26-28 in town and 32-34 on the interstate. i loved that little trucks performance and fuel mileage.
