I noticed out our front window the blue flashing lights of a patrol car. I figured "finally, they are going to give someone a ticket for driving like an idiot on our road.". I watched out the window for a few minutes and thought nothing of it and went back to what I was doing. About 20 minutes later I go upstairs for something and notice the lights are still flashing and it looks like people are standing in the road next to the car. Its just far enough I can't see it well, so of course I break out the bino's. Yep I am old and nosy lol.
What do I see? There is an officer down on his knees changing a tire for a young lady! I don't believe I have ever seen this before. Normally they will sit in their car with the lights on while you change it so you don't get hit, or they will call a service truck for you. In some rare cases I have even seen them drive someone home to get help. But physically change the tire for someone, I didn't even think they were allowed to do that.
I wanted to walk out there and help him finish the job, or at least shake his hand. Unfortunately by the time I got dressed he was done and they had gone.
It just goes to prove not all cops are dicks. Then again the young lady was a cute blonde lol.

Sad thing is, if that made the news, his Chief would probably fire him for violating department regulations and procedures. I am sure the lady was cute but still, that was a very nice thing for him to do. I too would have liked to shake his hand.

I actually seen a similar thing on the way home from work last week or so. , had to do a double take! Thought it was a car search , untill saw the Officer pull the spare from the trunk! Hope its contagious. ..

He was hoping in some sort of fantasy that he would get somewhere with her.. It always amazes me what some guys are willing to do just for a "chance". If your going to help citizens help them all not just the hot chicks. Needless to say Im not at all impressed with the cop. If she was with her boyfriend he wouldnt have helped guaranteed.

They won't even call or for instance jump you off if needed here in NC , cop told me that they can't touch another car because of them possibly getting sued!!! How gay.... Ha birdman you hit the nail on the head!!! Garuntee he would not have even stopped if it was some 6ft dude and his wife with a flat!!!!

The cop that got killed in Louisiana got out of his cruiser to help an elderly man that was stuck in a ditch. The guy pulled a gun and shot him. You just never know what people are going to do or what their mental state is. They risk their lives all the time even when checking the welfare of a disabled motorist.

Ya I was wondering if maybe he didn't know her. Either way I am still impressed. As far as a jump start I had that happen to me as well. The officer said they are not allowed to open the hood on their car. If anything happens to their car they just call in to have it taken care of. That was back in the 80's though. They might carry jump starters in their cars now, I don't know. I know I do.

Health and safety is out of control now. Your not aloud to do anything now. I am a first aider at work, even if someone comes to you with a bleeding arm you still have to ask them if they would like your help!
