It depends on which scooter I'm on. On the Vino i'm usually ignored but on the Movie 150 because it looks like a sport bike I can usually get a wave back.

I was kind of impressed, that was a lot of time spent on something that probably would have amounted to a 8 dollar sale lol. Thats the basis of good word of mouth marketing! For some reason some shopkeepers just don't/won't seem to get that. Totally myopic...

I always waved, or nodded or acknowledged other bikers when on my motorcycles and always got a positive response of some kind. So, when riding my scooter, it just sort of came naturally to keep it up. Well, I am mostly ignored or glared at. One guy just shook his head...4 others flipped me off. (Which I returned, of course) So now, I just keep an eye on the crazy drivers that try to kill us and ignore the other bikers.
I have only seen 3 other scooters while riding mine thus far. All of them waved or nodded so, maybe I will just greet other scoot riders from now on.

I'm surprised how many middle finger responses some of you are getting. I better keep a cigar cutter under my seat just in case that starts happening around here.

Ya I am shocked at that as well. How hateful and miserable do you have to be to flip someone on a scooter off? I mean sure ignore them if you don't care, but to take the effort to actually flip them off makes no sense to me. In this day and age your likely to flip off some miss adjusted yuppy kid that will chase you down on his scooter and shoot you lol.

I'll bet they would not flip off any more scooter riders after that, ha ha.

Playing punchy mirror is still my favorite passtime.

I've ninja kicked a mirror or twelve back in my sport bike days. Also go hit by a drunk driver at a stoplight once. My only real motorcycle crash to date and I was virtually stationary when it happens. Luck for me he was stopping, just didn't get it done quick enough. Watched my bike ride away without me, took me a minute to figure out why I was skidding across the intersection in my back. Good times, good times.

Around the northern Nevada area I get a mix depending the class of rider. Credit Card Bikers are oblivious pretty much to everything so no waves with those kind of bikers. Real Bikers Like Mon..... and the Vau..... and also the HA's ( This area seems to be a high value to Biker "clubs" for some reason. And I edited names cause I don't want to say them, so if your in the know you know who I'm talking about) Will always wave back. Idk I think it's a club law or something. The blue collar biker is a 50/50 to wave first. SuperSport bikers not so much. Most likely cause of inexperience on too much bike. Scooter riders I've never seen wave or wave back. Here they honk their horn at you, which I'd say about 70% of all Scooters I pass will honk at me. I always give the "biker wave" (peace symbol thrown out low on the path passing side) to all riders I see. It's nice to see others brave the cagers too. Especially with abnormally high volume of plain stupid MFR's here. I've even got the wave back from a pigcicle once.

If they wave I wave back. If they give me the finger I turn around and take it up with them at the next light. Well ok not anymore but I so think about it. Stupid cameras everywhere these days.

I just went on about a 30 mile drive around town running errands and I have to say I must be really lucky. I have yet to have a bad experience on my scooter. Everyone is polite and even interested in it. Even people that drive a harley. I had a guy outside a gas station just start talking to me about it, ends up he rides a harley.
Older people and kids seem to be the most interested in it though.
I even had a guy on a sportster pull up next to me and ask me what it was. I pulled away from him at a light. He wondered how big the engine was, he was a bit shocked when I said 50cc bored out to 70cc lol. I told him it is pretty quick up to about 25 mph, but then it sort of peters out. The next light he didn't let me get the jump on him though lol.

They track your supposed 50cc every time you turn your gps on. I bet Brett ( 90GTVert) has his own filling cabinet in some government office.... Shoot wasn't supposed to tell that secret..... But it's nothing compared to scooterpimp s and katastroff whole closet of files and pics. And you don't even wanna know how big the warehouse is that holds all of FrankenMech s files.....

I found out they moved mine from that surface warehouse to a designated square mile of space in the limestone mines under KC. Apparently they plan for at least 20% expansion every 5 years in active cases. The space is near one of the phone listening computer centers run by AT&T. They had a server go down there last and phones were out all over the KC 913 area code. They blamed it on a fiber optic cable being cut but the 'cut' was just one of the 127,000 in that mine. There are more centers in other mines here. Look up how much underground space there is in the KC area, then multiply by or more.
