I'm picking up a 2011 jonway on Tuesday for $100. Dude said it will run but needs a carb. And guess who just happens to have a brand new carb never opened lol

Before you bother replacing the carb check the valve clearance first. I got a 150 awhile ago I was told it needed a carb but valves were really tight. Ran great after a valve adjustment. 2¢

I lost count of how many scooters came through the shop that just needed a valve adjustment and a carb cleaning. It's a common tale: Scooter starts running crappy, over time it runs worse and worse and is very hard to start so one day the owner just parks it and it sits for 6 months to a year. Then they finally decide to get it running, call me and I discover a tight valve. Loosen it up, flush fuel tank, clean carb and it runs like new again. A very common tale...
