I love Supra's, but not much of the car left in that dragster. This is more like it!

If I were looking for a performance oriented import (other than a Chinese scooter I mean ) I'd be looking at the AWD Subarus/Mitsubishis. Supras are pretty rare around here. I've only ever met one guy that owned one and he was a clown. He was egged on to race a friend's Mustang and he couldn't just accept that he would get destroyed by the likes of a Ford, so he starting trying to offer weird races like going from a 170MPH roll. Then he acted like everyone was scared because no one wanted to take some silly race like that. Vid of the Mustang he really didn't wanna race below. Also a vid of an acquaintance's Ranger. I prefer stuff like this. Obviously not as quick/fast as the Supra, but real cars built in their garages, and capable of street duty.

That looked pretty quick Brent. I love seeing the big money modified stuff, but really like the stuff that someone has built on a budget themselves. That's why I like tuning scooters, its quite cheap. You can soon be spending thousands even on a cheap car.

You can soon be spending thousands even on a cheap car. I used to go to the track pretty much weekly with the guy with the green Mustang. He said he was averaging over $100 per day to go to the track between admission, fuel and race fuel, bridge toll, and maybe a hot dog and a some sodas. So $300-500/mo hobby going most weeks, and that's leaving the actual car expenses out. When on nitrous you can add filling bottles and the cost goes up about $50 or more for just a 10lb bottle. When they did track rentals it could end up over $100 per car to run for the day if they didn't have a big group. Gotta have fairly deep pockets just to get to the track and pay for the consumables.

I would be more impressed if the tires did not have to be replaced after a run. Or the waste-it-gate didn't pop off every second. My stable holds an 86 Mitsubishi Starion that unfortunately needs a clutch and a few other things to be put back on the road. It was a blast to drive.
